Oh yeah..they used up the entire shot clock. That's the key when you're up more than one possession.

The Spurs looked really pitiful down the stretch tonight. I would not at all rule out a first-round upset for them.

Let's not forget how huge of a FT that was by Diop. Making it a 2 possession game totally changes the complexion of the last few possessions.

The Mavs are going to have to do a much better job on the glass or they will definitely lose to this Spurs team in the playoffs.

Good win Mavs fans, playoff type game, really fun to watch. Now I gotta watch my team get its arse handed to them by the Suns.

I've got to believe Griffin will help out in that area.

Gimme a break. At this point, I don't even know if the Spurs can make it to the second round. And if they do, you just saw what happened when the Mavs don't control the glass against the Spurs.
If the Mavs and Spurs series started day after tomorrow, it would look like Mavs in five to me.

The only brutal murdering Laker fans are hoping for is that of Mitch Kupchak aka Bitch Cupcake.

I'd pick the Mavs to win also. But, I would also expect them to rebound the ball much better.
What exactly are you disagreeing with in my post?

how about this stat parker: 10 points, 5-15, 3 ast, 5 to's. It hard to put a lock on duncan and parker plus slowin down manu in one game without your best defensive player in griffin. Congrats to avery and the mavs to prove that they can play great d without their best d-player. I wonder what the spurs could do without bowen.

It was. I'm just saying that you cannot afford to get hammered on the glass. I know that they only lost on the glass by 6 for the game, but they didn't get nearly a high enough percentage of the available defensive boards.
I'm not trying to be negative. I already said that I would pick the Mavs to beat the Spurs in a series. However, I'm just stating that they need to do better on the glass.

The Mavericks this season have been able to shut teams down. The only concern is offensive rebounds. Josh Howard was big in the first half. He finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
I agree about the rebounding. The mavs did do a great job of contesting shots. Although the Spurs were red hot from downtown. You take your chances with those shots. Duncan looked two steps slow the whole night.
The real story was the ball movement. When Dirk got doubled the offense didn't become stagnant. There were a couple of great passes to Dampier and Diop. Dirk did a good job with smalls like Bowen and Finley. Two consecutive games he was great against great perimeter defenders. He plays like he did tonight we might raise a banner.

How do you like to shoot with a hand in your face, Mike "We're looking down on you" Finley.
