Another excellent play by the Mavs. Nash and Daniels.

Nash looks extra motivated. Walker really has some dribbling skills and he can take the ball to the basket. Mavs playing better D.

What do you mean? This is the most logical rotation we've seen all year.

This is other team. I'm really liking it. I can even forgive Nelson if the Mavs play the next games this way.

Now would be a great time for Nash to attempt a dunk... right after TJ ford missed one. Wouldn't look so bad if he missed.

Does anyone think there will ever be a game where Walker doesn't lead the team in shot attempts??
Also, got to love the 16 minutes for Dirk.
Other then that, we are dominating. But its these little things that will kill us when it counts and why nellie must inevitably go.

What do I mean? Dirk played 4 minutes in the 2nd qtr. You think he should sit 7 straight minutes, play 4, then sit the last minute? You call that logical? Thats less logical then loving Sheed

RE:Mavs X Bucks
Mavs lead 57-37 at the half:
Howard (18) 3-6, 0-1, 6pts, 6rbs, 1as, 3blks
Walker (20) 5-12, 1-4, 2-4, 13pts, 7rbs, 3as, 1blk
Dirk (16) 2-7, 0-3, 1-2, 5pts, 6rbs
Finley (19) 1-5, 0-1, 3-3, 5pts, 8rbs, 4as
Nash (14) 4-6, 0-2, 8pts, 1rb, 6as, 1stl
Jamison (17) 5-9, 2-2, 12pts, 2rbs, 1to, 1stl
Best (9) 2-2, 4pts, 1stl
Daniels (6) 2-2, 4pts, 1rb, 1stl
Fortson (1)
It's so nice to see the Mavs up 20 instead of down 20 at the half. It doesn't bother me that the starters haven't played that many minutes when their subs are filling in for them without missing a beat.

RE:Mavs X Bucks
I wonder why Nellie doesn't allow Dirk to try to shoot his way out of slumps the way he let Finley early in the season? I havn't figured out a good reason why he wouldn't do that for Dirk as well. I am sure there is one though.

Doesn't really matter. Finley, Howard, and Daniels are playing INCREDIBLE defense right now. Not "good enough for the Mavs" defense but "good enough for ANY team in the NBA" defense.

We are up by 20 and you are complaining?
He only has 3 more attempts then Jamison (who started off missing his first couple of shots then started hitting) and one of those was an attempt to get a last second shot off.
I don't see you complaining about Dirk shooting 2 for 7? or Finley 1 for 5?
and you people wonder why I think this board blames Walker unfairly? This is proof right here by Walker for 3.

I will promise you that this will be (at least I will try for this to be) my last complaint of the night.
I came into this thread to be happy about a 20 point lead and got side tracked.

There is only one reason - the offense is flowing right now to the point where no individual player needs to get started. Dirk will get his points in the 2nd half but he'd better hurry. I smell a blowout coming.

You're right... ESPN's online updates aren't working so I didn't notice. I'd like Dirk to get about 18-19 minutes in the first half...
BTW - Who you callin' a Sheed lover?

Of course if Dirk only has to play 32 minutes a night for the Mavs to win by 20... who cares!

It isn't just this game though. When Dirk struggles Nellie just pulls him. It seems like it has happened a lot. And by contrast I remember Nellie just leaving Fin in when he had similar struggles at the beginning of the season. Maybe it has to do with his change of positions more than his shooting?

If you throw out the 3 point%...
This would be a near ideal first half statistically.
1 turnover, 4 steals, 4 blocks, 31 rebounds, 49% fg%, 35% opp fg%.

The mavs scored 34 points in the 2nd quarter with Dirk sitting 8 minutes. If you can rest Dirk and have a 20pt lead, then that's a good thing.

I could say the same thing for your whining about everyone. You hate everyone on this team. lol
except one person of course.
Dirk is injured. There really isn't a need for him to play a lot and have a chance of re-injuring himself again when we are up by 20.
