So now....
Dallas' two main off-season acquisitions from Summer 2001 are currently jobless.
Two things:
1) We can all really say that last Summer was a total bomb, player-personnel wise, except for the part that Timmy played in the Juwan trade (and a few cold treys against SA and Minny).
2) Anyone who still thinks that the midseason trade did not make the Mavs better need look no further than two guys who were contributing before the trade now have no jobs.
Not that they won't catch on somewhere, because I bet they will. If the Clips clean house a little and open up a roster spot, maybe Danny even makes a homecoming for the farewell tour. Timmy... hmmm... Timmy will likely go team-less most of the Summer, until most of the moving has been done, then he'll probably go to an Eastern contender needing a backup PG. Jersey? Boston? Just brainstorming.

Rhylan - that´s nonsense. Timmy was a VERY valuable addition to our team, and he still would be (if we trade Nick) ...

and btw - we added Griffin and Newman, two cheap add´s which I´d count at least as "useful" in my diary ...
the reason Timmy is without Job now may have to do with the Fact that Denver is HEAVILY rebuilding at the moment - and might end up with some very cheap and talented rooks ...

That's why he was just let go by a crappy team that has no point guard?
I left Griffin out because he wasn't thought of by the "masses" as a main acquisition. He was, however, a main contributor and a steal.
Newman was a pleasant surprise, but once he got hurt that first time, he was never the same.

I got it.
I just think it is sort of a favor to Timmy... but if they had really wanted him around, they would have kept him. They're gonna draft a wet-behind-the-ears PG, most likely, or keep Satterfield.. they could use him, you'd think.

Now the Mavs can trade NVE without getting a PG in return and sign Tim for one years.

I think Denver might go with DaJuan Wagner with their first round pick - and Waving Timmy now is a sign for McDyess ...
something like a "we want to build around you" thing, he´s going to play with Juwan and a bunch of high-energy rooks - and all the remains of the ole days will be gone ... Posey might be just another

Timmy is NOT coming back to Big D after all the venom he spewed after the trade. Nellie was irritated by it.

Timmy will probably sign on for the exception in Chicago. He doesn't have to sign for alot of money, if I'm not mistaken, Denver has to pay half of his salary anyway, so he could sign for $500,000 if he wanted to.
He's from Chicago, they'll probably draft Jay Williams so they'll bring a vet in like Timmy to help him along the way.
