Default One small reason Kerry lost

"But if militant Christianist Republicans from inland backwaters believe that secular liberal Democrats from the big coastal cities look upon them with disdain, there's a reason. We do, and all the more so after this election. ... By any objective standard, you had to be spectacularly stupid to support Bush... So our guy lost the election. Why shouldn't those of us on the coasts feel superior? We eat better , travel more, dress better, watch cooler movies, earn better salaries, meet more interesting people, listen to better music and know more about what's going on in the world." - Ted Rall

Find extremists and tag them instead of really dealing with the issues.

Erica, the last time I checked, the Republicans don't have to deal with the issues of 'losing'. They can leave that to the Democrats.

I am curious about this idea EL....(nothing serious, just playing)....

What should we tag them with? 240 grains of Lead?
Or maybe tag them with a pipe (or like in some foreign countries, cane) brutally about the body?
Or maybe tag them with a Tatoo on the forehead that says "I am an ignorant extremist" or any other derogatory statement --- but Who decides the tag? If the Democrats are in power, I would think it would say, "I am a radical, right-wing, gun-toting, religious nut". If the Republicans are in power, then it might say " I am a radical, self-serving, dumba@@ coward"..........Who gets to decide? ?

Or maybe with a scarlet letter.............that would be the ticket right? That worked so well in previous times.

My favorite part was the 'earning better salaries.' Ol' Ted hasn't been off Manhattan island (save for his luscious "travelling more" overseas) in his lifetime. Ever hear the phrase, "eggs are cheaper in the country?" Guess not, Ted...

The biggest reason that Kerry lsot is because the sound majority of all Americans understood what was at stake.

Fortunately the right party won this election.
