Beautiful job by Dirk drawing the foul. Now, let's make at least one damn FT.

Nice finish. It was a little dicey for a minute, but it worked out well. Big possession by Dirk to get the free throws. Good defense on Nash in the last two minutes.
Phoenix is going to be a lot to handle if they can get completely healthy.

Dirk hasn't hit a three in 3 straight now. His O game is closer to last year lately, just as good, but in a different way.

You wouldn't know it by the boxscore, but I thought Dirk did a very nice job passing tonight. Lots of good finds that turned into missed jumpers and trips to the line.
Really, I thought the entire team (with the exception of Josh on the break) passed the ball better than the assist totals indicate. Guys were just attacking the paint relentlessly rather than settling for the jumper off kickouts.

So I missed the game tonight. I see that Nowitzki had 29points. So did he make Marion his betty?

Dirk owned Marion several times in the low-post. Marion has never stopped Dirk, if we get it to him downlow he kills him.

The Mavs are playing great and you can tell the players really enjoy playing with each other and under Avery. This team is bound to do something special.
Go Mavs!

Dirk got whatever he wanted. I must say that the 50% shooting was a bit deceptive. He was actually better than that but really couldn't buy a call.

Hard sometimes to decide the player of the game. Sure it should have gone to howard for working so hard after an injury (especially with all those rebounds), but dirk was also up in there.
I remember a week ago with harris got the player of the game. Damn man, sometimes that guy can ball.

Thank god that we ended up winning this game. They werent leading us but when diop missed his free throws, i was feeling that the game might slip away...I felt very happy and then voted dirk for the all star game again , just like i do most other days.

So I was at the game, and they don't provide a lot of injury updates to the upper deck corner folks...what's the deal with Quis? He was having a pretty solid game before he got chopped.

KT hit him across the head/neck and he went out with a neck sprain. No updates that I've heard-- just that he wouldnt be back and he'd be checked out

All I know is that it was a Mavs game where I didn't have to listen to the ESPN commentators, was in the Yellow Rose for the whole game, special on beer, some girl's name I don't remember, and we got the win.
Does it get any better than this, I don't know
EDIT: Sorry, forgot, NASH is the suck!!!!

One thing about Pheonix is they really seem to be able to get anybody on their team to hit 3's. It's nerve-wracking to play against them because they can score so quickly on seemingly prayer shot after prayer shot. They are either fantastically gifted shooters or incredibly lucky!

It really amazes me that Marion ever makes a three. The two-handed push-shot from chest-level just seems ready-made for anybody over 5'5" to block...

You know, with Amare out, it has really reminded me just how good Marion really is. Even though he will never be on Dirk's level, he is really an athletic freak of sorts. If Josh can develop into a Marion-level player, we are going to be a really tough team.

don't EVER forget this, fogle!
The Mavs seemed to have this game in hand despite the Suns occassional runs...They seem to just be better than most teams...and know it. I also like the way they are starting pass the ball more crisply. I suppose that comes with chemistry...Dirk is beginning to take atvantage the double teams by finding the open man with more consistancy. Quisy cutting to the hole and pulling up for his famous 7 foot fade is just plain old sweetness. I love the Harris/JT/JHo/Dirk line....all guys who can pop the open jumper or take it strong to the basket...AJ is making a believer out of me!
Under Nellie (who was watching) the game would have been in the 120s, playing into the Suns one strength, but AJ hold them well below their average ppg at 96. Good stuff all around.

Yeah I totally agree with this. It isn't even "swagger" as you hear about teams so often, the Mavs are confident in a total businesslike way, much like the Spurs. Stick to the gameplan, and you'll get it done.
