I don't think this is a good match up for Powell unless he plays PF. And it wont work if Dirk is next to him. Carlisle should use his center rotation with using Mejri to slow them down inside.

Mavs are not good enough offensively to give up many 30+ point quarters. The defense needs to get much better.

This is supposed to be on strong suit. I expect them to limit Pacers to 20-22 points.

It's looking too sketchy Dirk and Powell together.

Agree. Terrible combo IMO. Undersized and defensively lacking to say the least.

We really running Dirk as center? First time in a while where we go 3.5 deep and we end up with Dirk as center

Closed it fairly well for it being a new team adjusting. Now to get Dirk going 2nd half so the shots around him can open.

26 is at least something we can work with. We can't give up those 30 point quarters though. Way too many easy buckets that first half for them.

Which players should I like on this year's team? This is the least excited I have been about a Mavs team featuring Dirk Nowitzki. It sucks.
I like Dirk and J.J. Before the Mavs won I probably wanted J.J. out of here, but J.J. earned his keep. Aside from those two I just don't know who else I can be that excited about watching play. I don't like Wesley Matthews or Harrison Barnes so far. I also don't see how Bogut is a good fit for this squad. I think Powell is a decent player, but I prefer the player that he replaced. Anderson's dunk tonight was really nice. I would like to see more of his growth. Man, it'll be a long season. I wonder what'll happen.

Barnes will be exactly what everyone says he'll be. Im not expecting much past what we've already seen.
Seth will need time to settle in. Anderson is growing. Powell wont excel in games like tonight.
Dirk and barea carrying the offense. I like that Matthews is able to go off the dribble. Hell be a key guy throughout the stretch of this game.

Mavs are this close to get the lead. Gotta zone up on defense off and on.

With Deron playing like this. It's time to get Dirk in there with Barnes more.

So it's shut down Myles, George, and Monta? Mavs could try to slow it down in the 4th quarter.

Great defense there by Curry with a blitz from the one and only.

And I'll take Curry getting fouls if he is being aggressive versus not playing defense.

Good news is that the Warriors got blown out last night. I don't care about who did it.

How sad is it that 2 of the highest paid players are not even on the floor during this run?

I like how he's playing who is playing well, but I think this will be the norm. I hope I am wrong.
