Default Scoring and Rebounding

Having now Jamison (and Fortson if he can play, or Howard, or Best, or whoever) won't make necessarily that the Mavs score and rebound more. It might, it might not.

Even if Jamison - Fortson, or any new- can score (and rebound) well, is not necessarily a condition for the Mavs to get more points or rebounds.

(BTW, it's the same situation than the Lakers but maybe for different reasons)

What do you think?

I think they score a couple more points a game, get about 3-4 more rebounds a game, and drop their points allowed to around 93 ppg.

They agree on the rebounds but not clearly on the scoring.

I'll add a thing to their comments:

- The Mavs will be more able to manage the wins more often than last season(s). (Not the losses, of course). To play more the rookies or the bench and to pace more the game. This could make to not expect (some) more points or rebounds (and other statistics).

With this panorama, don't expect the statistics of Dirk get rised.

But I'm sure one statistic of Nash will be.

What is that one?

kg, i'm hoping that a slightly more controlled offense that focuses more on getting the ball into the paint will lead to roughly the same amount of points, more free throws attempted, a higher fg%, slightly less shot attempts....
but, that would also decrease the number of attempts by opponents.

but, that's just a thought.

I think they´ll score a little less and they´ll also allow less points. We should see a bit more of halfcourt offense with Dirk and Jamison on the floor. Also Best is not nearly the high octane scorer and player that NVE is. So that might slow the tempo down a bit too when he checks in for Nash. I think the drop in points scored will be smaller then that in points alowed which will lead to an even better differential then last year.

Rebounding figures should go up on both ends because Jamison is a pretty good rebounder at SF and Fin is a great rebounder at SG.
