P.J. Brown
From the Star-Ledger:
Quote:
The last anyone heard, old friend P.J. BROWN was still wondering whether he wanted to stay with the Hornets for what is expected to be the final season of his career. "I just got to think long and hard if I'm going to play my last year with the Hornets," he said in April. He could ask for a trade (hard to do, he makes $8M), but the team might accommodate him if that's his choice. "I'm going to make it a point to talk to him before this draft," coach BYRON SCOTT said this week.

Change in team outlook: -3.7 ppg, -6.5 rpg, and +0.6 apg.
Successful Scenario
Due to Dallas being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Dallas had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

i was trying to find a way to get the same 2 players from the Hornets, but I don't think thats enough. They won't want Pavel, he doesn't fit their image & he doesn't have much worth, and I don't think they'd want to mix stack with their youth.
BUt i love the ideal of PJ being a backup PF, and giving us a chance to develop JR.

I'd love to get PJ and JR, but I don't think Stack and Pavel will get it done.

I could only see it happening if Isaih Thomas was the Gm of Sixers. Since he's not, Sixers laugh at the deal and then politely reject. They want more more if they are giving up Iverson.

Then what do you think it would take for us to get Iverson?

Wow, I doubt the Mavs do that. The future of the franchise for a couple more elite years from Iverson. It should only take either Howard or Harris, not both.

Well then maybe something like Howard, Diop, and Daniels. The Sixers don't just want to just dump Iverson for the sake of dumping him. They actually want parts that can help them in return. Harris for Iverson doesnt help them at all, and while Josh H. for AI is more tempting, other teams in need of a good go-to guy will offer more to Philly.

They already have Dalembert, so they don't need Diop. Maybe Jho, Daniels, and #28 would do it. That seems more fair.
