That was a fun competitive game, I thought, with a lot of good execution on both ends by both teams. Very nice win.
Plenty of guys to talk about, but the big story in this one was that Dirk actually displayed some confidence attacking and making plays down the stretch. That's been sorely lacking from him to this point, and it was an extremely welcome sight. Beyond that, great, great energy from Sarge, big-time shot from Vince to cap his hot shooting in the first half, clutch free throws from Darren, and a good competitive effort from the team as a whole.

I think we absolutely have to win the four remaining matchups against the Lakers and Houston. That's a lot to ask for any team in the league, but a necessity for us.

Btw is that Carter's first go ahead basket in which the Mavs won off of it? Last year he had the hoop against OKC but Durant won it at the buzzer.
And may be Carlisle is realizing that Mayo shouldn't have the ball in his hands trying to create in the last couple of minutes. |
