Knew Boozer would be amnestied or traded for sure now. Perhaps that leans attention to Houston while we can still get Parsons.

Haven't posted since Championship season, just browse the forums, but Bleacher Report is talking about Trevor Ariza and a 4 yr/32 mil deal with Rockets. Does that mean Parsons is ours?
And I know this isn't really a valid source, but wanted to know if anyone had heard anything about this report?

It's legit.
We're currently discussing the impact here and http://www.dallas-mavs.com/vb/showth...=38888&page=17 here.
Houston could still match and play Parsons at the PF position or could let Parsons walk and wait for Boozer, but no way to know until tomorrow. No one knows. Houston is confident. Dallas has released some info that we've moved on, but don't believe anything. Mavs probably just conceding publicly to let everyone know that they have a plan B.

M. Williams can be removed from the list!
@SpearsNBAYahoo: Marvin Williams agrees to two-year, $14 million deal with Hornets, source tells Yahoo. Fully guaranteed, no option.

I don't think Marvin Williams was on the list... Mo Williams was.

Best solution? Stay away from Clutchfans (or any other team's fansite) - those people will NEVER see eye to eye with you.

Mavs are pretty evenly split between DB.com, DM.com, Realgm, and others. I don't think Houston has any more fans than any others online-- they're just concentrated on that site.

Never been one to go to opposing teams site, but it was too tempting when couple people were linking.

Stein: ESPN sources say Heat and Luol Deng continue to negotiate. Deal that sends Deng to South Beach continues to loom as strong possibility.

@sam_amick: Luol Deng to Miami is definitely a strong possibility, but I'm told he's weighing the lay of the land in Dallas first before deciding.

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 1m
Miami's pursuing free agent Luol Deng with an offer near $10 million per season, on a short deal, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
|
Good news, he wont sign such a deal without waiting for the Parsons situation.
Damn, i think i would be ready to drop Wright somewhere for basically nothing if we could land both Deng and Stephenson for the then 20m cap. Maybe Dirk takes even 1-2 less and we can offer both 44/4
Ellis/Harris
Lance
Deng/Crowder
Dirk
Chandler
Bench would suck but we would need some luck with minimum guys and picking the right big guy with our room exception

@WojYahooNBA: Dallas may pursue Lance Stephenson on a bigger money, shorter deal before turning to Deng -- assuming Houston matches on Chandler Parsons.

I hope Deng realizes that Miami without Lebron is a much worse team than our current Mavs... hopefully Pat Riley doesn't brainwash him before this Parsons thing is official.

I'd love it if that happened.
I'd also rather sign Pierce for a premium on a 1yr deal than sign Deng for the money he is asking for over several years.

Whoa there. We have 15mill to give.
Stephenson will probably cost us 10-11mill. Deng is asking 10mill. A premium deal for Pierce? Well, he was asking 9mill so a premium deal would be another 10-11. You get one of those guys, not two or three.

Pretty spot on with what people have been saying on this board for a few days. 3 for 28 with contract similar to the one they worked out with Parsons. Do this then offer Phoenix a SnT for Bledsoe @ 12 million per giving them Wright, first rounder (or more) and cash. Stretch Waive Felton
Bledsoe
Ellis
Stephenson
Dirk
Chandler
Yeah thats a ridiculous top 5. Maybe I should lay off the kool-aid for abit.

I'm hoping we can figure out a way to add two or three guys. Agree with poster above that said we should dump Wright to clear enough space for Stephenson & one or two other guys. I'd love something like Stephenson, Aminu/Okafor, and Augustin. If you got some value contracts I bet they could get all 3 of those guys.

I thought Deng was wanting 12mil. I wouldn't pay him a penny more than 10 but the point is that I'd rather just sign someone like Pierce on a 1yr deal because he'd be a huge expiring that could be dangled at TDL to a team that is ready to give up on a star or budding star or just have more to spend next season.
I just don't think Deng makes us a legit contender because he's got a lot of wear and tear and no upside...Parsons and Stephenson do so I'm fine with overpaying either of them.
And it is very unlikely that we'll get more than one of those guys anyway.

Stout starting five but this team is suddenly seriously lacking shooters minus Calderon and now Carter. I like Lance but that lineup would have some spacing issues.
