I'm curious how the great donnell harvey is doing. There has been so many people who felt that getting nick, raef, avery for harvey, hardaway, howard that I thought there would be some folks talking about how great he is.
Hmmm doesn't look as good as walt williams right now.

He started a few games at the beginning of the season, and if I remember correctly he had 15pts and 8rbs or something like that the other night. He's been getting some minutes but not a whole lot. I think it's just like Wangs situation, if he is given PT then he could produce but when he can't it's impossible to produce. When he has been given PT he has showed some good stuff, and what I like about him is his defense and rebounding.

But there is always a reason that a player doesn't get playing time. I think his is offence.

I liked Harvey and would have liked to seen him grow with the Mavs, but that's how it goes. I'd much rather have Raef right now.
I haven't paid attention to the Nuggets and why would I?
Anyway, just looking at the stats, he is near the bottom in terms of minutes.
12.2 minutes per game
40% field goal
No 3-point attempts
50% free throw (only 2 attempts)
4.2 points per game
1.8 rebounds
.4 assists
No steals
.6 blocks
.6 turnovers
1.2 fouls

These numbers would look MUCH more respectable if you'd project them over 48-or-so minutes.

They are committed to the development of other guys. His option was declined already (last week) and he will not likely be returning to Denver, who by the way has the potential to be one of the leagues better teams in about 2-3 years.

He couldn't get playing time on the Mavs who were commited to winning now. And now he can't get playing time on a team committed to developing their young nucleus. That really should say something.

RE: Donnell Harvey Fan Club
Just thinking about Harvey after hearing ocelot_ark talking about how prescient he was about alan henderson.
Oct. 28 The Hawks released Donnell Harvey (F) Atl. on Thursday. He was with the team for less than a week and played in only three exhibition games.
Funny how message boards and fans latch onto players and now it looks that he's out of the league altogether. Just shows how tough the league is, especiallly when you are an undersized rebounder with no offense.

RE: Donnell Harvey Fan Club
I could see him playing for 10 day deals later in the season. Wouldnt be surprised if he showed up somewhere in New England.
