Maybe it has to do with the timing of the weeks when they work a Sunday, off Monday and Tuesday, work a Wednesday, off Thursday and Friday, and then work Saturday again. Three workdays in a calendar week puts them over, as long a shift as they work.

I doubt firemen are any more cut off from the rest of the world as the rest of us schmucks. If anything, given the length of their shifts, you would guess less.

My bro in law informed me yesterday that he scored me some SUITE tickets for a future Mavs game in March or April.
I am beyond excited.

Hey that's cool. I got to sit in a suite at the AAC for a Mavs game once and it was pretty cool. I'd prefer to sit close, but I sure felt important in there.

I fly to DFW for the Super Bowl in 3 hours. I'll be rooting hard for the Mavs to win the Lombardi.

It was really, really fun. I usually enjoy going to games where I don't have a rooting interest, and obviously the SB is interesting in its own right.
One thing that's weird about it, though, is the crowd intensity is just so much less than so many football games I've been to over the years, including neutral-site games. I'd imagine it's partially the effect of having so many non-rooting fans there, and partially the effect of the crowd being mostly older (rich) fans. But it was weird--we stayed for the whole trophy presentation and walked out in a mob of Packers fans, and you'd have barely any idea they just won the Super Bowl. Almost morose.

I will be attending the Mavs/Knicks game in a suite .
And hopefully I'll score some tickets to the Lakers that Saturday as well.
And Roddy B is returning tomorrow night, ahhh today is a great day.

Im was really hungry today, until a guy in the bathroom stall walked right out of the bathroom without washing his hands....the crazy part is that he just interviewed for a position and is shaking everybody's hand in my office....and he's slowly approaching me....time for me to walk away!

So did I, until I got annoyed that it just so happened that everything would always happen for the good guys, so each time I read the book I would root for the bad guys to win or for one of the mouses to die.

I am currently posting from a train (Seattle to Portland) with WiFi. America needs more trains. This is way better than driving, and way less of a hassle than flying.

I've got work there Monday and Tuesday, but I'm coming in early to celebrate my birthday tomorrow with a couple of my really good college friends who live in Portland now.
You ever ridden this train? It's a bit slower than driving but man it is more convenient.
