"The amount of time that Dwight Powell has spent in the gym this offseason is staggering"
Great to hear

Nice move by zaza on the block to score.
I'm impressed by zaza's defense, too. He's not that athletic, but he seems to know where to be all the time.

Wes Mathews has a very quick release on his shot. I like that.

First game back from injury and first game with Mavericks but Matthews seems to know really well how to help in team defense and has good movement on 1vs1 defense. I also like how he helps to create some open space for the offense with his BBIQ.

Looks like Jenkins and the rookie will only be playing in blowouts.

It used to be so mystifying to me how Powell didn't grab boards last season. Early returns from the preseason and this first game is showing Powell to have improved tremendously in that category. Hope he keeps it up.

I still dont like Williams+Felton but they seem to connect quite well and they do nice job attacking with ball movement (dont know how to say it in English). But that said. I want to see Jenkins and Anderson!

When did Charlie V learn to shoot jumpers? He's going to be good.

That was a good half. The rust came off a little.

Player with highest +/- in first half from Mavericks side? DRUMS... Raymond Felton with +12! At least Carlisle knows what he does.

Honestly don't care if Felton is fat and his game is ugly to watch. If he keeps the +/- going, then I'm all for it. It's like watching a bowling ball down the lane every time. Dude has no fear of being aggressive.

At least he knows how to throw that weight around a little...

Don't want to jinx or overreact to anything, but early returns say there's no one that can touch us in the SW division.
Start to finish, baby, never let go of that lead! Playoffs, here we come! [/gleeful optimism]

LOL, we're only 1/164 through the regular season, but I love your optimism!

Rockets blown out by the Nuggets.
Dirk's jumper is still wet.
All good news.

No kidding. We were atrocious last year in the 3rd quarters. Imagine how good we'll be when we get Chandler Parsons in the mix. And maybe JaVale McGee will do well for Rick!

He'll be fine. I've done that enough times. You can walk it off.

Didn't he have also ankle problems before(in addition to the calf)? If so, which one?
