The Arizona Republic Sept. 6, 2003 12:00 AM Stephon uncaged Dime magazine, a sort of hip-hop basketball publication, has an interesting cover story on the Suns' Stephon Marbury in its fall issue. Marbury was reluctant to talk to reporters about his 10 days in jail last summer, but he opens up on the subject to Dime. The Suns guard told the magazine that those 10 days in jail were the "best 10 of my life." He said he reflected on what he had done right and wrong in his NBA career and came out of the experience with a new outlook. It probably didn't hurt that he got married less than a week later, either. "I mean, don't get me wrong. Jail itself was horrible," Marbury told the magazine. "Because of who I was, I wasn't put in any rough jail or anything. But when they slam that cell door? Let me tell you, you know your (butt) is in jail." |

come on drbio, do you honestly believe that? He just said it, because of who he was not put in any kind of rough enviroment or anything. Steph is a pretty big guy, I am more than sure he could have handled his own in there, if he had been put in a rough enviroment.

I think most people (including myself) are making fun of MARBURY because he made such a big deal about spending 10 days in jail.

Maybe it was a big deal to him, his family and friends who knows. But days away from loved ones would be a big deal to me, 1hr, 1dy, or 10dys.
