No idea what the new one is... but I think the old one was where everyone was expecting news on Hammer but we got information that Nolan Ryan would be at Ticketstock.

Aahhh.....for some reason it didn't occur to me that someone would confuse the Star Child with a birth announcement.
I feel so failed right now.

Preggo has a good point.
It's almost compound time. I sure hope they are doing it again this year. That is the greatest week.
The late night tuba playing...the rangers dance party...norm in his underwear digging though the fridge...the Sturm basketball butt injury....the water fights with Gordo and Corby. So great last year...

They're definitly doing another compound. They've been bouncing around ideas on the air so it's around the corner.

Man I hope so. The last 2 years I have been lucky enough to have compound week fall the exact time I go to a Conference in Orlando every year. Which means nighttime becomes boring. But listening to them do their late night antics makes me feel almost at home.
I doubt it will be the same week this year because they moved the conference to May. But I'll still be tuning in.

The most fun I ever had watching a Ranger game was last year when they were just doing live chit chat during the game. It was great. Much more tolerable than regular April baseball.
It won't be the same without Greggo though.
They should let Grubes stay in the house.

Denise Milani is not an attractive woman. She claims those things are real but I call BS. Those things look faker than Jerry's new face. And speaking of face, she doesn't have a very attractive one.
I'm being mean, I realize, but the way they go on about her you would think she was the 2nd coming of Godiva.

I think they should put Big Dumb Danny in his place, since he's more or less moved into the number 3 slot on the Hardline.

I've never actually seen her....but I imagined it about the way you described it u2. Danny and Corby are idiots when it comes to women. All of those guys are.
..... ok I've seen her now. Yeah....that's just kinda stupid.

Can someone fill me in on Gruber's schtick/place in the world? I have a single degree of separation to this guy, watched his band play once and was appalled at his half-step flat guitar leads throughout, and then suddenly heard six months later he was getting attention on the Ticket.
I don't have time to listen much, myself.

He's not getting any more attention (at least on the air) post band than he did pre-band. He picked up the guitar a few years back and I believe that he can only play Chili Pepper songs. He's admittedly not a great guitarist (or maybe even a good one, I've never seem him play) but the band gets attention because he's on the ticket.
As far as his place, he's just a drop guy but he's very good at what he does. He's also, IMO, hilarious in his role as the beaten down troll like figure who can't get women.

My one claim to fame is that I went to the same elementary school as Grubes back in the day. He was one grade ahead of me. I didn't really know him, but I know my mom knew his mom. And yes it's true, his family is loaded.

Grubes is a genius behind that board. His ability to play drops in a timely fashion that get the maximum laugh possible out of me is impressive. I think he may be some kind of genius when it comes to drops. That is his place in life.
When it comes to anything else...he looks weird...he sounds weird...his guitar playing gives me cancer. His whole life is a bit.

The "minor announcement" this morning was thae next iteration of the Charity Challenge-type event.
They're going to play a baseball game at the Dr. Pepper ballpark with no ringers.

I am excited. Although since they continue to muddle their way through all the major sports I think they should revisit this.... because inevitably they need to do Baskeball charity games before they get too old. Which would mean now, not 2 years from now.
But I think they said dead Rhyner would be playing.... that right there is probably worth the price of admission. Besides, I haven't missed a charity event since the first one however many years ago.

I've never been either. The football games really didn't interest me, but I always wanted to make a CCOI, but never did.
Maybe I'll try to make this one.

He's been a +1 twice before today. First time was when the Shaq to PHX trade rumor broke and the second time was shortly after the Kidd trade.
Would his schedule allow him to do it full time?
Oh yea, thumbs down on Dave Barnett.
