i thought it would be a good idea to get some nominations for new mods since one of our mods is pretty much inactive.

Thanks FahQ...just know that KG and I support each other...either or both of us would take up the challenge and support each other fully.

MFF, AE and Rhylan all do a good job...IMO, they're not getting enough help from the others...so whatever you do, give these 3 a big hand and your continued support.

A mod "mod"erates the board. Bans board members for things like:

Above all, a mod must also try to be as impartial as possible - treating all members equally no matter their post count. Many of us are quick to dismiss and jump on those we consider to be trolls (who by the way should still be held to the 3 Strike policy UNLESS it is clear they are here only to piss people off), but we seem to hold older, more "established" members to different standards. This, at times, can be a problem, since it then becomes a chore to lay the hammer down on individuals we have since become friends with. Giving them some leeway is ok, but a disctinct line must be drawn. Just something for those interested in becoming a mod to think about. You CAN'T play favorites. That will only lead to more problems down the road, among both the members of this site and the rest of the moderating team.

Isn't it patently clear that at least one poster is only here to do just that? Piss people off? Lay the hammer on me any damn time you feel the need, but there would be no need to do so if the D77-ish posters were dealt with in the first place. Did you notice during the 8-10 hours that this particular poster was inabled that there was more quality talk about the Cowboys and the Mavs than during the previous week? Then, when allowed back, he only bumps up about 8-10 old threads and tries to stir shit up? Where is the 3-strike when this occurs?

I have talked with people via PMs and email bro, you really may want to take a look in the mirror and see who the real problem is. People like yourself who feel just because they have been here longer or have more posts than others, they are better than other people and that's complete BS. I can easily copy and paste about 25-30 posts of YOURS ALONE that shows you disrespecting others with insults, when they did nothing but state their opinions. Alot of people feel it's a double standard going on, but I haven't really been here long but I can easily see why some people feel this way. Some people aren't held accountable for their actions, and basically allowed to curse, insult, etc whomever they play around here and it's not right either way you look at it. Everyone should have to follow the same set of rules, if they don't why have the rules in the first place? Just get rid of the people as soon as they come, because this is a message board some opinions will not be popular. Like mine on Quincy Carter, and I have caught plenty of slack for it. Is it right, of course not but is it the way things are here? It sure looks that way, but the thing is I can take the bashing and just continue to express my opinions/views and move on with it. If people don't agree, we will discuss it and hopefully it wont get out of hand with personal attacks and insults.
