Yep, Martin has looked pretty bad coming back from the injury. Hopefully he'll keep it up so we can buy low, or really even buy at all.

knowing the M.O. of our front office...I wonder if the fact that "all is quiet on the western front" is a good sign of a possible trade?

I'm sure hoping so. We may catch a break against the Lakers if Artest continues to have issues this season and if we can get by the Lakers I'm confident this team, with an improved roster via trade, could win it all.

You know who else has looked pretty bad coming back from injury?Josh Howard. It's why we want to trade him away from Dallas.

The reports about Sacramento and kevin martin was that they would want a big in return for a martin trade to happen so we would need a third team. This trade seems the most realistic:
Mavs get:
Kevin martin
Sacramento gets:
Samuel dalembert
Philly gets:
Josh Howard
This would all work out because Dallas wants kevin martin, Sacramento wants a big, Philly has been wanting to get rid of Samuel dalembert and his contract.

I say just dangle your expirings, eventually, come deadline, they'll be desperate enough to take a BALANCED deal.
EDIT: There still is a West to Sac, Martin to Dal, expirings to NO if they're still interested.

i think NO got under the tax threshold so they're probably thinking about making a plaoff push. making the playoffs means $ for teams too. at least 2 home games, maybe more.
