Adrian Wojnarowski: The NBA has postponed the Golden State-Denver game source tells ESPN. Nuggets don’t have the eight players. – via Twitter wojespn
Why hasn’t Denver been forced to sign G league players or guys that have been retired for 5 years like every other team?

I really liked the G league idea at first, but...
-G League players get covid too which is a pretty huge misstep.
-Teams aren't forced to sign replacement players right?
-There isn't enough time to sign and integrate players into the team. AND they get covid anyway.
It was a worthy experiment, but it probably would have been smarter to just postpone the NBA for a week or two.
Here is the reality with Covid....nobody has the right answer.

Remember when everyone was going off on how good of a roster Atlanta had? Good times.

To be fair, they've had a ton of injuries. A healthy cast of Collins, Capela, Bogdan, Gallo, Huerter, and Hunter is damn good.
Aside from injuries, the elephant in the room is how truly putrid Trae is on D. Trae ranks 138th in the league in RAPM because even though he ranks 3rd in offensive RAPM, he ranks 567th in defensive RAPM. Just awful.

Man, how about Lance Stephenson? A lot of these vet guys deserve contracts. His talent was never in question, but can he keep his head on straight? Perfect fit for Rick who loves these kind of vets.
That just means rookie Duarte will be heading to the dog house soon.

Adrian Wojnarowski: There’s optimism within Nets that will be a four-to-six week rehab and return for Kevin Durant, sources tell ESPN.
I guess this opens up the MVP conversation a bit?

The Utah Jazz fear that forward Joe Ingles suffered a significant left knee injury during Sunday night’s 126-106 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told ESPN. The team announced he will undergo an MRI on Monday in Salt Lake City. Ingles’ knee buckled on a drive to the basket, causing him to crumple to the court in the second quarter. Ingles needed help to get to the locker room, and sources tell ESPN that an initial examination fueled considerable concern of a serious knee injury. – via Adrian Wojnarowski @

I never get tired of the Lakers failing
Whole city is calling for Westbrook to be traded, even if it means paying to have someone take him.
And the Lakers opted out of DeRozan to get Westbrook. They had a choice and the damage is 100% self-inflicted.

I love to see it. Everyone was crowning their ass when they traded for Westbrook and signed Carmelo.

I called the Lakers team shit from the beginning. What ill fitting pieces, but I guess that's what you also get trying to build a team with three max contracts in place. Westbrook was cooked years ago when opponents figured out that you just had to force a shot. Davis somehow skirts all the injury prone talk that gets lumped on KP. Lebron is old, still playing exceptional, but he can't carry a shit team anymore type of old.

AD out again, this time for 2 weeks. No one ever dares giving him the injury label like everyone seems to heap on KP. They being media and the basketball community at large.

Plenty of "Lebron only" fans hate on AD. And AD helped get them a ring. That gets you a lot of leeway in this league. *see RC*

I think I heard in the radio that KP has only missed 1 more game than AD in the last 2 (might have said 3) seasons.

Likely true, I just feel they are the exact same player. Obviously AD has shown the higher ceiling. But availability is the best ability, and when you have the contracts they have, it creates a black hole in the roster. Even if they play a small majority of games, say 60%, every team in every season needs to time together to gel and find best rotations, complementary play, etc.

Didn’t stop him from playing in the all star game. Curious to see if PHX can keep it up without him.

Going from CP3 to the lesser of the 3 Holiday bros and Cam Payne will certainly provide it's hurdles. Biggest impact will be to Booker and how CP3 allowed him to work much more freely off the ball. Still think Suns are very beatable come playoffs but will be a very good regular season squad.

Reddick stirring the pot with his comments on Zion. Basically calling him out for being a shitty leader as the guy hasn't even been in contact with CJ McCollum since the trade. It's a pretty bad look on Zion, but I take Reddick and his comments with a grain of salt, especially since he's resorted to First Take.

Lakers got their asses kicked by NOLA. Can’t wait to see them lose in the playoffs if they even make it.

Does the Lakers making the play-in game qualify as making the playoffs? Not sure I've seen how they determine that. I'd say you would have to win and be a part of the final 8 team bracket. Just spitballing, that Lakers team is trash. Lebron is still a certified baller and arguably the best of all time, but his constant meddling with FO affairs is seemingly not going well with the Lakers.

I just took a peak at the standings...holy shit would I have one hell of a grin if the Lakers flame out and miss even the play-in game. There's a solid chance, too. Lakers have a heck of a finishing slate to go through. Pels seemingly hold their way to 9th seed if they win the head to head and take care of their easier schedule. It's the Spurs who could be the one to blow it all up. A few easier games on the docket but with a harder finish. Lakers failing to reach the play-in would have to signal some sort of blow up of that roster and the popcorn would be ready.
