Madden 2006
Just reserved my copy and I'm going to pick it up at midnight. It'll be nice to actually be able to run the ball with the Cowboys.

RE:Madden 2006
That was my original plan and it's probably the smart thing to do. Unfortunately I've grown weak over the past few days and it's almost worth $50 to me to get the updated rosters.

RE:Madden 2006
After buying NCAA 05 along with Madden 05...it's doubtful that i'll ever buy another Madden game.

RE: Madden 2006
Thanks NFL... giving EA exclusive rights was the worst possible scenario for gamers. So Mr. Tagliabue, how exactly does a monopoly benefit me again?

RE:Madden 2006
NFL 2K5 was eons better than Madden 2005, and Madden 2005 is pretty much the same game as Madden 2006, with the exception of a few lame attempts EA made at innovating it. The whole "Vision & Precision" idea drives me nuts, and I really wish EA could come up with some new ideas instead of reproducing the same game over and over that was great 3 years ago but is nothing special anymore.
If only EA didn't have so much money, maybe there would be hope for the near future of NFL video games.
Does anybody know how long EA has the rights to the NFL for? Hopefully not very long...

RE:Madden 2006
2k5 fans tend to be very matter of when talking about the superiority of that game and I just don't see it. When I bought my PS2 last year, I bought 3 games: NBA Live, Madden and 2k5...those are the only three games I own. I had no preconceived notions about which was better but after playing them Madden was the clear winner. IMO it's more realistic and just more fun to play. I played 2k5 for a couple of weeks then put it down. I think there's a reason, beyond product loyalty, that Madden was outselling 2k5 despite the fact that it costs twice as much.
FYI the deal is 5 years but from my understanding, Sega will still produce a football game.

You understand right. It'll be a game of NFL Legends.
