+Lakers come in with three days rest
+Lakers come in high off their tourney win
+Mavs limp into this game with a lot of injured players (Kyrie, Green, Williams, THJ, DJJ, Kleber).
-Luckily, Lakers have some banged-up/questionable guys too. Mavs may be able to play DJJ/THJ

A loss could bump us from 3rd to 6th in the standings. A win moves us 0.5 games from 2nd. That's how close the west is.
