Hornets score 16-- in a half
They beat the record since the institution of the shotclock by 3 points.

I bet that wouldn't have happened if Byron Scott had played his least favorite towel-boy, J.R. Smith in the game...

Does this prove how little Chris Paul has to work with? I didn't see the game.

Holy crap, how does Byron Scott not play J.R. Smith? Wow, I didn't know this was going on with the Hornets. He didn't play Speedy Claxton as well. These DNP's are showing as Coach's Decision on Yahoo, is that acurate? Heck, even Vroman is decent.

Off subject, but who do you think should be MVP this year?
Personally, I think Nash is the clear favorite, but LeBron and Brand are pretty close IMO.

Apparently, JR Smith was close to being a Spur last week for Brent Barry. Why the deal didn't go through i'm not sure. From what i've heard it wasn't even on the Hornets side it was the Spurs.
I'm not sure how it seven possible to score 16 in a half. Who the hell did the Hornets face? The Pistons and the Mavs?

It wasn't the Spurs, it was the league that shot it down. The two teams submitted the trade to the league's front office like 2 hours after the deadline had passed, and the league refused to let it go through.

Spurs just stared at it too long. "you're offering me a rum-raspberry truffle guaranteed to give me a stomache ache for a half eaten cherry cordial?"

I can't believe the Hornets are playing at above .500. 31-27 is a pretty good record for a team in the toughest division, in the toughest conference that I thought was almost a lock for more lottery balls than you can poke a stick at. I guess they are going to have bad nights, but they have had there share of good nights this season.

Everyone thought J. R. Smith was on his way to becoming a superstar but now (from

Sounds like people perceive Smith to be selfish and a bit difficult to coach...

Smith was put in the doghouse when they traded for Mason. Speedy is still recovering from his ankle injury. JR Smith will bite them in the ass if they let him go, I guarantee it.
