2 Upcoming Milestones for Dirk
Dirk is just 11 games away from having played more games as a Maverick than anyone else. Ever. Except me in my fantasy world.
Dirk is 97 points away from 20,000 points scored in his career.

ok. 97 was what was listed at his NBA page and Yahoo page tonight. Only it wasn't. It was 19907 total points, but I can't subtract. How do you count 61 points to go, rather than 93?

Because the last game that included was the Laker game. He scored 22 more tonight.

So we're looking at Lakers (3 games away) or OKC (4 games away) probably for the 20,000 points night. Both are at home. It'd be nice to pair it with a win. If it's against the Lakers, it'd be nice if it's a blowout win and someone kicks Kobe in the crotch.
At Phoenix for the most games mark. They'll probably make an announcement the game before, which is versus the Bucks at home and the game after, which is also at home.

It would be really nice to see it vs the Spurs Jan 08 2010.

Congrats to the Mavs, to Dirk and to the fans!!!
So, if his "Game Total" happens in Phoenix, although the fans might miss out a little, will it be pretty cool for Dirk's original little buddy...Nash to be a part of Dirk's milestone?
Would either of those two players trade in all of their individual milestones, if they could have one ring together?
Again, Kudos to Dirk and to the Mavs!!! Looking forward to many more great years and hopefully at least one title before it's all said and done.

I would love to see that in person. I was able to see jkiddo's milestone triple double game, seeing the dirkster would be extra special.

Dirk tied with Brad Davis for most games as a Mav.
If I were starting a team from scratch, I'd take Dirk over Brad.
If I needed a good 'stache and mullet for an 80s deodorant commercial, I might take Brad.

Dirk Nowitzki's 20,000 Points Not Worth Nearly As Much In European League
WURZBURG, GERMANY—According to current basketball point exchange rates, due to the weakened value of the NBA basket, Dirk Nowitzki's career 20,000-point total is worth just over half that much in Euroleague Basketball. "A traditional two-point American basket is worth 1.126 points in Europe," leading basket economist Dr. Benedikt Acton told reporters after Nowitzki's career milestone, later adding that while the NBA point is struggling, it is still strong against the IBL Punkt and the Chinese Basketball Association's fēn. " If Mr. Nowitzki would have remained in Germany, the value of his points would have remained stable. Then again, nobody could have predicted the soaring inflation that followed Kobe Bryant's 81-point game in 2006." Acton added that if the Celtics' defense remains strong, the NBA point could see a resurgence in the second half of the season
