Why the heck is TMac #2? Has he played a single game this year?

No prerequisites needed for a popularity contest!

T-Mac is totally deserving, just look at his amazingly low Turnovers.
Keep voting for Dirk and Kidd

I've been skimping out on my voting responsibilities, but that changes today. I urge everybody to do the same and vote every day for Dirk and our other guys. Dirk deserves to start at an ASG in his home city.

Agreed! I must admit I've slacked off here the last week or so, but I am re-dedicating myself to a daily vote. Must create separation for Dirk from Timmah.

Do you not get an e-mail 24 hours after you voted, inviting you to vote again? Maybe it's going to y'all's spam boxes? Vote every 24 hours, on the dot.

I'm also surprised J-Kidd got a realistic shot at starting, got to continue voting him.
Unfortunately there's no more room for me to step it up, if not...

...some of my votes didn't get counted. Are you sure about the 24 hours? I know last year there was that 24-hours countdown, but it's not there and since, in the rules, it only says something like "vote as much as once a day, additional votes are counted invalid", I figured it's more about the date than the time since the previous vote. But I didn't pay much attention to these e-mails, so maybe you're right. I hope not!

That's how I do it, although I split the Western Center vote between him and Kaman early. And I don't think one All-Star appearance would guarantee the rest of Damp's contract, or would it?

My understanding was that he needs to log 2100 minutes for the season and appear in the all-star game for his final year to be guaranteed.

I'm pretty positive on this. When I try to access the ballot too soon, I get a message that says, "You can only vote once within a 24 hour period."

Ok, you may be right. I thought it was about multiple All-Star selections over the length of his contract, or those 70 games Ã* 30min, but I'm certainly not sure about that - and too lazy to look it up.

Strangely such a message never shows up for me (or not anymore, last year it did) , even if I submit a second vote within 24 hours. I even get confirmation-mails for every vote (just opened some and reassured myself; I even got one for each ballot when I once tried to vote within seven hours on the same day(in both, the US and Europe)).
But if you still get that automatic 24h-restriction, I assume they abandoned it only for international participants, since we're not eligible to win anything anyway. In the rules they say about online votes:
Quote:
Limit one (1) online entry per person and per email address per day of the Sweepstakes. Additional online entries received from any one person or email address thereafter during any one day will be void
|
...so usually I didn't try to vote more than once a day, but maybe I should. Who knows if they're really checking my voting-frequency when they're even confirming these extra picks exactly 24 hours later.

I have a question that perhaps someone here knows the answer to. I am voting daily, and writing in Damp. However it doesn't actually fill his name in, I just select him at the bottom. Is that counting? If so, why do they only give you one write in choice? That seems a little flawed logically. I keep thinking I'm missing a step.

I'm also interested in that (and was asking a similiar question on the previous page), so experienced all-star voters please step up!

Hey, I've been trying to write in Damp on my on-line vote, but I'm not sure it's taking it. I never see his name on the roster of players I voted for after I submit my vote. Is there a step I'm missing on the write-in procedure???

Why was Damp left off the Center options?...heck why was T-Mac on the list?
Oh well, I may be late, but I got my votes in...
Dirk, Marion, Terry, Kidd and Damp as a write-in...
I forget who I picked in the East...I know I said no to ANY Celtic...I hate them as much as I hate the Lakers.
I think I grabbed Mo Williams, Lebron, Shaq...T.Ford and someone else but I forget who...
I'll keep it up daily...heck, I might see if I can add a few more log-in names, just so I can vote more than once daily.
Dirk not only deserves to start...he's clearly an MVP Candidate at this point of the season!!!

wtf?
I linked onto vote, and it wont let me vote...looks like it's a 24 Hour hold, rather than a daily hold.
Looks like the NBA has screwed up something else that should be fun to do...
My apologies guys, but I will not be held hostage by the NBA...I'm more than happy to vote daily, but dang, to have to wait until exactly the time that I voted yesterday...and to keep doing that everyday...screw that.
So much for the daily vote, I guess I'll just get a vote here and there...interesting to see so many people on this message board voting for the same candidates :-)...at least we can agree on something!!!

I vote Dirk, Terry, Kidd, Marion, and Damp everyday. I pick Bosh and Crash from the East. Hopefully Bosh will start and realize what an awesome city Dallas would be to play in. I refuse to vote for Lebron, D-Whistle, all Magic players, or any Celtic. F*ck em!
