Not sure why but some rumor came out

On Wednesday morning, Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson reported that the New Orleans Pelicans' young point guard Lonzo Ball has garnered interest from other teams including the Toronto Raptors, the Orlando Magic, the New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Clippers and ... the Dallas Mavericks.

I mean, he does fit the bill of a secondary ball handler and is a good defender, but man, the Balls are too much.

Bad personality and he can't hit the three.

That's why I really like J-Rich. He has that Ball body and the ability like Ball to guard 1/2.

He hits the three, though. Ball is under 30%

Hard pass, especially with that 3-pt shooting, unless they take both Powell and Brunson. Heh. Then pair him w Burke, so defense and 3pt shooting there and another, better potential future trade piece.

I was also wrong about his defense. Last year he was 32nd among PGs in DRPM. That's not amazing-- particularly for a guy whose only real offensive skill is passing.

Kills offense and mediocre on defense.

Maybe we can get him cheap as a product, but there are just nicer, harder working, and most skilled guys out there.

I'd offer Powell, cash, and a second-round pick just to help cover some of Powell's contract next year.

Bust Ball's balls about earning his QO. If he's good, then he gets it. If he doesn't then he walks and we have more cap space this summer.

Mavs rumours that arent leaked/confirmed by Stein/MacMahon/Sefko (combined with Woj/Shams) are irrelevant

According to Townsend, a couple of the Mavs who got Covid were really sick, so they might be out for awhile.

Townsend is a jagoff. Even when he has a solid scoop.

Looking forward to seeing Josh Green getting 20+ minutes again

“For me, it was not so much stuff that would show up in the stat sheet,” Green said. “People don’t really like the dirty work and all that, and it might not be the most appealing thing to watch but I feel like that’s what I can bring and all the stuff like offense will continue to come as the more comfortable I am on the court.”

Green had his best game of the season on Wednesday against the Pacers, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, and two assists in just under 23 minutes of action. The rookie’s ability to be in the right spot at the right time is evident, like making several backdoor cuts to the basket and just knowing exactly where to be on the defensive end.

WCS, Brunson, and Burke not playing well.

Brunson is a strange anomaly. He is either really good or really terrible.

JJ has to create the contact with the defender on his drives to the rim, so as to get the call. On that last drive, he was passive and drifted away from the defender, and threw up a wild shot.

We need some perimeter defense

The Spurs are just driving and kicking it back out to open shooters.

Got to stay home on shooters and not get sucked into the paint

As a big absolutely. Used to have nightmares of Mavs big men always fumbling the ball in the lane on the most basic passes.

I agree

He's shooting a career high 59% this year up from 54% but he's missed some bunnies that would have him around 60% or little higher.

ON the bright side Powell was shooting 46% this year and his career avg is 56.2%

So luckily WCS hasn't been that bad finishing compared to Powell.

KP defense leaves a lot to be desired if he’s not at the rim
