I know Houston is missing guys too, but my point is, BOTH teams just have a bunch of bench warmers out there.

If you want to say that their scrubs are playing better than our scrubs, I mean, that's definitely true. BUT, we are still missing four starters. I don't think we can take much of anything away from this, except our scrubs are indeed scrubs.

And of course its an excuse if its Wood/Ola vs KP/Josh/Kleber/DFS/Powell. Its simple maths but of course Harper isnt able to do simple maths.

It’s almost like we’re losing based on the inability to rebound because we’re without our 2nd, 4th, and 5th best rebounder and four of our best five defenders

Since we were down 15 in the first, we’ve actually made up a point. Doesn’t feel like it and we’re going to have to actually outscore then to win but at least we’re treading by water

The hard part is the rebounding. It’s 100% easier for them with extra points and ability to run into an unset defense and they have more shots.

The problem is those are their two best players offensively.

That's two 20 point scorer's they are missing but they are still giving some effort on defense if you watch them hustle like Martin Jr for example.

The Mavs issue is we got poor defenders giving up wide open 3's not from fatigue but from lack of hustle.

But when you play with 3 or 4 non defenders like Burke, Brunson and THJ and they don't make shots it just looks terrible.

Notice how on offense all 3 of them seem to move fast and then on D they are all of sudden slow.

seriously so you need a top defender to stop sterling brown from blowing by you?

Some of these players on houston offense doesn't require top defenders on them. It just requires effort and THJ for example has been terrible looking flat footed on everyone he defends and they just blows by him.

I realize how important DFS, Kleber and Richardson are defensively but still there is no excuse for not closing out on shooters or just not moving your feet vs guys who usually don't even put the ball on the floor to drive.
