Default Nash....Not a Ring chaser...but Dallas something diff.

I thought that was a great article on Nash and just shows how much character he has and how classy he is. That last paragraph is really something and shows how committed and dedicated he is...and how grateful he is for what he has.

It would be something to watch Nash and Dirk hoist thta trophy together

With all the players jumping teams and demanding trades just to get on teams that have the players to compete, it kind of cheapens the accomplishment of getting a ring. There were a lot of very good players in the past who never got rings due to breaks and circumstances. I think the ring thing is vastly over rated. It's more a media creation. I mean how many players who arn't worth a crap still have rings because they were sitting the end of the bench of a champianship team. They still have rings don't they. Being part of a champianship team is special but it is not really always a true reflection of a players worth to his team. Although now the media trys to say that if you don't have a ring you are less than someone who does. Realistically it's all part of a media hype.

Yep, you looking at Mitch Richmond, Isaiah Rider, the Laker rings did not define their careers. Maybe personally, but legend wise, it doesn't. Ron Artest sold his. Rider's running around with a newborn, but wishes he was still playing. Rings are media driven, Adam Morrison celebrating in a suit.....but it didn't take away from their careers, I mean GP, Malone, we still remember the elbows, knees, the steals, Richmond on the low block time after time, giving MJ a battle.

Not a ring chaser, but a money chaser, right? Or why was it he left Dallas and Dirk?

It does mean much more for a team or francise than an individual. It is a team accomplishment not an individual one. My point is that a great player should not have to cheapen himself by renting himself out in his decline just to aquire a ring.

That was a pretty uncalled for slam on S. Nash. It wasn't like he wanted to break the bank. The mavs just really didn't want to sign him. They wanted to free up the money to sign the great offensive post scoring threat Eric Dampier. Everyone in Nor Cal is still laughing at the mavs for that move.
