Toine really was the straw that stirred the drink. What were the Heat thinking when they got rid of him?

They were thinking they could escape having the worst record which would inevitably come with having Walker on your roster. Which they have so far.... narrowly

"I think that he's just been a basketball angel sent to me."
Warriors guard Baron Davis, referring to Don Nelson and hailing Nellie's return as Golden State coach as a key trigger to Davis' resurgence.
Besides the obvious statistical stuff -- he's followed up the Warriors' first-round upset of Dallas last spring by averaging 22.2 points, 8.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals in Golden State's best start since the 1993-94 season -- Davis has appeared in all 44 games to date. After the 28-year-old got through his first three seasons without missing a game, Davis has reached the 60-game barrier only twice in the past five seasons, including last season's 63 games.

Miami be sucking, oh yea'...they be sucking.
Pathetic excuse for a basketball team. Without Garnet the celtics are kicking their asses in their home court.
Diva Wade supersta' my ass. No ft's means no supersta'.

And Golden State better do something or they will be sitting home after their breakout season.
I'm thinking it's going to come down between GS and Denver. I think houston will pass 'em, utah's already at #4.
Pretty nice isn't two all-star starters could be out of the playoffs, priceless.

But only half a game separates them from Portland at the #8 slot (and only because they lead their division...)

Wow, that was a short season... (somehow I missed the All-Star break too!)
Who are we playing in the first round?

Warriors lose.
Heat lose by 40 and Wade shoots 1-9.
Spurs lose their third straight, to a team coming off 14 straight losses.
Basketball life is good.

Heat have the worst record in the NBA. Even worse than the Knicks or the Wolves

The one nice thing about this year's draft is it seems like most of the top players are 6-4 combo guards (kinda like Wade) or project centers. The one exception is Michael Beasley who would probably be an impact power forward as soon as he got in the league. So I don't see things turning around significantly for the Heat unless they get #1 pick and grab Beasley.

The Onion picks on the Heat all the time.
One issue had fake headlines (neither actually had an article) "Rare Miami Heat Basket Caught on Videotape" and "Dwyane Wade Arrives at Practice Limping on Wrong Leg".

picking on the Heat is fine with me...but it can't take away my hurt...or that ring.

The lesson here: beating the Mavs in a playoff series is just the beginning of the end........(unless you're Phoenix).
