A San Antonio radio station is reporting that Dirk missed today's shootaround and won't be playing tonight. Sounds like a crock of shit if you ask me but my fingers are crossed anyway.

Even more sources are now saying that Dirk won't play tonight. He's apparently been throwing up all day from some food poisoning. If this is indeed the case, then I doubt he'll be effective should he decide to suit up. Damn.

What sources? The word around here is that he was throwing up this morning, but that he is OK, and the he will play 2nite.
Good luck 2nite.

I can't seem to remember which game it was but it was towards the last third of the season. Dirk had a stomach virus and played that evening. He scored a lot of points and they Mav's won the game. Maybe if Dirk thinks about how bad he feels vs. feeling nervous about the game, he might actually excel...Oh, well...we can always hope right????

last time i had food poisoning, i was sick for about 6 hours and was completely fine after that.
so don't buy into everything you're reading. if he is sick with food poisoning, it will be a game time decision

Doesn't matter, if he's sick then he won't play well, we can't count on it anyway right!!! If he doesn't play, we're dead!

I am in NO WAY comparing him to Jordan, does anyone remember when Jordan played sick in a playoff game and scord 50?
I missed the last game because I had to work at my day job late and couldnt get AM stations on my radio. Luckily Im on my way to the 2nd job (which is at a bar, and we will be showing the game there!!!)

I'm making it a point to put off studying for my last final until after the game is over. I've got some hardcore Spurs fans in my chapter, so it should be fun.
Honestly, any athlete will play better when he is sick. It forces them to concentrate more. I had my best game ever when I had strep throat. Couldn't keep me out againts the biggest rivals in high school, man.

Three fouls against Bradley. No big run by the Spurs to end the quarter.

Excellent start, my friends. Good energy, and Dirk is looking pretty good. I liked that Jordanesque move Finley put on Antonio Daniels. Too bad he couldn't sink the fade, but it was a good shot.

Mavs, including Dirk, are showing some great energy, taking advantage of mismatches, and giving Buck some early mins. Good stuff! Too bad Howard's still, uhm, playing like he's been playing. I think Buck is definitely outplaying him down low.
I'm so tired I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open. Gave my tix to my gf cuz I was just too damn sleepy!

Buckner is all over the place. He is being a pest to the point where Duncan is making mental errors trying to keep track of him.

Come on. Give Juwan a break. He already has 2 offensive rebounds (4 total) a steal with the slam. 3 for 8 from the field ain't too bad.

Buck's doing a little of everything on both ends tonight...and doing it with hustle and energy. Now why can't Howard start doing that? I hate to bag on the guy but when you see a smaller guard like Buck outplaying him, you can't help but wonder.

Plus he's only looking "bad" on the boards cuz Buck's looking so damn good! It's not so much a knock on Howard as it is a compliment for my man Buck.

Man the refs are calling this game tight. Every time the Spurs get the ball, they go inside and get the foul. The Mavs can't get a transition game going from the free throw line.

Mavs FINALLY getting some good transition buckets. Hopefully Dirk, Nash, and the rest can sustain this energy and shooting.

Good half except Bradley, Eisley, Howard, and Buckner all have 3 fouls.
Good job Nellie for keeping the team close with all those players in foul trouble.

Great way to end the half. Buck is a monster in there. Seven boards in six minutes? Man alive, I missed him.

BTW, your man Buck has 4 OFFENSIVE rebounds and 8 total. He is playing like he was before he got hurt at the end of the season.

Buck's been EVERYWHERE tonight! Some of his boards have just been spectacular. He's also kept the ball alive on a number of plays by attacking the rim.

I guess Nellie was trying to save Buck because he has 3 fouls. Sometimes Nellie outsmarts himself.
