Next years class sucks compared to this. If it's not a top 5 pick it's not that big of a deal. The top 5 this year would be above all 5 next year or something I read a while back.

I’ve been against giving up assets for Doncic, but a heavily protected pick makes it completely palatable. I’m all on board the Doncic train.

I'm all on board the Doncic train, but giving up future first rounders without getting another first rounder this year definitely isn't ideal.
I like that Luka comes in right away to make a difference.

Great move... next year's draft is weak. We got the guy who would go #1 if not for Ayton. Fantastic move. FANTASTIC MOVE.

So happy for Bamba and knew it would be next in line.

He didn’t look too thrilled with that destination.

I just can't believe it. Yes we somewhat mortgaged our future, but we desperately needed some offensive skill and we got THE skill guy.

That means we're picking random bigs in the second round, right?

C. Metu or M. Robinson would be great.

Looks like Porter jr's injury concerns are real. Comparing yourself to giannis is the icing on the dumb dumb cake.

Wow. I wanted Doncic but thought it was out of reach. Bamba grew to be my 2nd choice. So I'm excited af.
Trae young is probably gonna be a baller and provide more for Atl than what Doncic could do they got a decent deal.
Awesome stuff

Bobby Karella's number one pick was Doncic, so I'm very happy about that. His second pick was JJJ, who was going to be picked by Memphis anyway.
Hey, if Doncic is as good as people say, then we'll be golden. Donnie's job rests on this pick for sure. Glad he made it though and not Cuban.

I will also say this...Doncic looks like a guy who will make players better. That's what you want when it comes to free agency.

Knox is a great pick for the knicks. I love Mikal, but Knox is this year's sleeper.

SF? At 6'8" he plays like a guard, but on defense he has to defend forwards.
Smith is still PG but has to learn to play off ball.
Barnes either going back to PF or we have a glut at SF.

Yeah, that's the only way I could see it working myself. Hmm... Not 100% ideal, but man, exciting.

No no. Dont try to wedge Mathews in at the 2 or Barnes at the 4. Barnes can defend guards better at this point than Doncic. Occasionally Barnes can play pf but that's not where he is best. He will still unquestionably be relied on to be our scorer tho.
DSJ
Doncic
Barnes
Powell / Dirk
FA - Motley

Barnes was terrible at the PF. His natural position is SF and Rick even said his experiment of Barnes at the PF was a failure that wouldn't continue.
Matthews was equally bad at SG as SF. He was just sort of a failure all around, but as a 3/D guy, he could be alright.
