NBA records set up Mavericks
I've only been following the Mavs since Finley got traded from the Suns to Dallas. So I won't know a whole lot of these.
But when I watched back at the finals this year, I found out that Dirk had set an NBA record for most free throws made in the playoffs.
I don't know if this came up before but I thought this was cool, because he beat out Jordan for this record.
2006- Dirk 205 free throws
2004? Finley most free throws made without a miss in a playoff series
I don't remember about this. This was in the NBA history website but I couldn't find it anymore, but I am sure Finley has this record set.
Anyone else know of any record set by Mavericks?

I thought Wade was the one with all the free throws.

Dirk had the most made, Wade I believe beat the record for the most taken.

Wade had the most in a finals series. Dirk had the most in the entire playoffs in one year. Both NBA records.
Dirk also is the first player to have a certain 100 blocks and a 150 3's, although I don't think that's significant because it's just some random categories put together and no one ever talks about it other than commentators bringing something to talk about.

Worst collapse in NBA Finals is the cheapest shot anyone could take at the Mavs. Maybe it is only appropriate for a Spurs fan to point out that this alleged "collapse" was facilitated by the most outrageous, most blatant, worst officiating in the entire histopry of the NBA. To put this "worst collapse" BS on the Mavs is unfair.

it's assumed that if you are good enough, crappy calls should not affect whether you win or lose.

Umm even if you think the refs were terrible in the finals, the mavs still choked.

If the refs hadn't been so bad, they would have won game five and woulda been up 3-1. It's still a choke, but not as bad a one as ppl are making it out to me. It's not the worst in history.

It would be pretty hard to win game 5 and be up 3-1.

Anyway... Josh played some of the worst ball I've ever seen from him, Dirk didnt show up in the majority of the games, and everyone elses shooting % went down.
Yes the refs had an influence... they did NOT "will" the mavs shots out of the basket.
Not that it even matters anyone, I just made a comment because I can't believe it was brought up....again....

Lol, yeah my bad. I wasn't thinking. They would be up 3-2 and heading home.

Do you doubt that the refs were terrible in the finals? For me there's no question about that. 5-6 phantom calls in one game are terrible.
When a player from a completely different team that didn't even make the playoffs calls the finals rigged, a fan of the fucked team should at least admit that they were called horribly...
When one of the best basketball sites (82games.com) proves that the finals were called horrbily, a fan of the fucked team should at least admit the same...
When even someone like Phil Jackson criticises the refs for their crappy performance, a fan of the fucked team should at least admit that his team wasn't responsible for the loss alone...

I didn't say they were solely responsible for the loss.
They could have prevented if they played like they did in the SA series.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right about that, but you made it sound like it was not obvious that the officiating sucked.
