Well I made a phone call to a friend, and he said he's
got a free copy of the vinyl, so i'm not going to buy the CD if i can get it free! I'll have to wait until next week to hear it though.

Really it´s the same with me Veruca.
It reminds me of a certain part of my life and it´s very fitting right now again (which is a good thing I think, but sometimes I stop and I´m a bit sad about certain things...but then I simply keep on moving.) |

Do you like the Music album Nellie?
If so, go out and buy anything by the Stone Roses, because I really liked the singles the Music have released, but I thought the album was a little weak....and they really just want to be the Roses! Still, dissapointed I didn't see them when they were here in January. I think they actually just played in Austin with the Vines & Youth Group (a band who's drummer is very close to being the sexiest man in Sydney)...it might have been last week, it might be coming soon...not sure of the dates.

Veruca, I know the Stone Roses...been around awhile. There are definitely similarities. The Music CD is a tougher listen then I expected. There is a lot of distortion to work through to actualy hear it...an acquired taste for sure.

How's the new White Stripes? I heard it at the record store the other day, but instead opted to buy the Rainer Maria CD, which is... ooh, I'll be diplomatic here... mediocre.
Anyone have it yet? Veruca, did you get it from your friend? "Elephant" got 5 stars from Rolling Stone, which always makes me nervous...

It's getting rave reviews everywhere, but it's worth it.
It's awesome actually. I thought White Blood Cells was good, but not as good as De Stijl...we'll see how i feel about this one in a month though.

In preparation of the Jimmy Buffett concert on Tuesday, I am breaking out the old coolection. Recently on Kazaa, I found the obscure Jimmy Buffett song "Please take your fifteen-year-old drunken girlfriend home." I listen to it over and over. It makes me smile.

I'm familiar, I have a whole group of friends who used to force me to
listen to her all the time. I'm not a fan...but still, i'll acknowledge the loss to the music world. I'm actually surprised Sturm didn't have anything to say about it!

I know Billie Holliday is a legend-- and I like her, too-- but I'll take Nina any day. "My baby just cares... for me..." And what a true maverick in all regards. Alot of you must be foreign. I have never even heard of most of this stuff. The kinda new Johny Cash CD sucks as a whole but has about 3 or 4 songs on it that are absolutely incredible. I saw the White Stripes on Conan and they were good but nothing great. It is interesting how they pull it off with only 2 members, Iexpect to see more groups try the same.
