They did come out pretty flat. It's a 8 point game now. I can't believe the Nuggets haven't gotten a single fast break point in the second half. ouch.

Clippers breathing a sigh of relief right now. Good defense on Melo.

I'm surprised at how close it was. This could be a pretty good series.

This will be a very good series.
I don't know what it is, but I'm just not sold on the Clippers at all. Maybe it's just because they are, in fact, the Clippers, but I wouldn't be surprised even in the slightest to see Denver win this series.

Keep in mind that the Nuggets are the higher seed only by virtue of the NBA's crappy, division-based seeding process. The Clippers have the superior regular season record (giving them HCA) and also won the season series between the two teams 3-1.

Yeah, I fully expect the Clippers to win, but it should be a good series.

It is pretty damn funny to see the 6th seed have HCA over the 3rd seed. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before.

Clippers laying some wood on the 8th place(should be anyway) 3rd seed.
Looks like those clippers played the game (nba seeding that is) pretty good.

Yeah, that was the smart thing to do for them. F*ck pride not to lose games to take advantage of the rules.
As a side note, Chuck just is already lining up to suck the Clippers' collective male reproductive organ. Gee, I wonder why.

I heard them saying on the broadcast something about Casell not wanting to be there or something like that. Has anyone heard about that?

They were talking about his attitude before the preseason.. he was extremely unhappy that he got shipped out of Minnesota, but once he and Dunleavy had a talk, Cassell fell in love with the organization and (correctly) predicted that the Clippers would finish with a better regular season record than the Wolves.
What they might have been mentioning was that Cassell recently stated that he wants a sign of loyalty from the franchise and a new, fat contract this summer.

Clippers have cut it to 3. It looks like the Nuggets are trying to whiff this one away.

Camby is a great center, to bad he's fragile as glass.
He and AK-47 must have taken a class or something.

Things gettin' a bit testi in Denver....
Kaman, Evans involved in a 'private' matter
STORY TOOLS
By Chris Tomasson, Rocky Mountain News
April 30, 2006
Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman shoved Denver Nuggets forward Reggie Evans to the floor during the second period in Saturday night’s playoff game at the Pepsi Center. But Kaman believes he was justified. Kaman said Evans grabbed him in the private parts.
"He went behind my back, went through my legs and grabbed my (private parts) and tried to pull them backwards,’’ Kaman said after the Clippers won 100-86 to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven first-round series. "In my mind at first I? wanted to punch him. I wanted to hit him. I thought to myself, ‘Don’t be stupid.’’’
Two teammates backed up Kaman’s claim. Guards Shaun Livingston and Sam Cassell both believe the NBA should look at the play for possible disciplinary action against Evans, who did make himself available in the locker room after the game.
"That’s crazy,’’ Livingston said. "It was dirty? (Evans) deserved everything he got. I’m surprised he didn’t punch him in the face? Kaman did the right thing by not punching him.’’
With 8 minutes, 35 seconds left in the second period, there was an incident between Evans and Kaman. After Kaman pushed Evans to the floor, Kaman was assessed a flagrant foul and Nuggets guard Ruben Patterson got a technical for interceding.
"The league will look at that,’’ Cassell said. "You can’t do (what Evans did). That’s why he was so pissed off at him. You can’t (grab) a guy like that. You can’t do that to a guy and expect him not to retaliate like that.’’
Kaman said he never has had anything like that happen to him in a game.
"I’ve never experienced that, not even a dirty three-on-three tournament,’’ he said. "That’s ludicrous.’’
Kaman said he expects the league to look at the play. He said he doesn’t care if any disciplinary action is taken against Evans.

The Nuggets should be ashamed of the way they have folded up and disappeared.
As for the Evans thing, he should be suspended. I saw a replay and it is clear what he did. I guess he wanted to see if Kaman had any balls.

What is it with the Nuggets and nutsacks? Remember two years ago, Elson called Garnett gay because Garnett grabbed Elson's balls?

I just saw this for the first time in the TNT post game highlights...
That is just CRAZY... They interviewed Kaman and he just said "He grabbed my nuts... We can say it... He grabbed my nuts"
Hilarious!
