I've been banking on a breakout game from Shockey--forget that, I'm going Witten every week.

Looks like Jason Garrett recognized how much they were crowding the line as well. Way to take the starch out of 'em boys.

Love the TD and all, but give credit where credit is due. Romo got bailed out by two GREAT catches from Witten and TO.

Who can you possibly have that you don't start Witten? You have Gates, too? My goodness, man, make a trade!

Oh, dear Lord. Please don't ever make that call again. Cut that worthless New York Giant NOW! Don't even try to trade him. Just simply cut his ass.

Agree with the TO one for sure... We'd have been roughing up witten if he'd have dropped that one, but he does have really good hands.

having watched trent edwards the last four years at stanford, i'm a pretty big fan of his. he's no tony romo, but i think he'll be a solid nfl quarterback.
his major issue at stanford was that our receivers were truly awful; the two decent guys we had got injured in the first couple of games last season, and then we were literally starting a walk-on at wide receiver. i can't tell you how many times edwards would throw the perfect pass, only to have his guy drop the ball.
it also didn't help that we had no running game to speak of (also starting a walk-on at running back for awhile) and our offensive line couldn't protect him. and don't even get me started on the coaching ineptitude.
but, hey, we beat usc! things are looking up for the card.
now that my stanford football rant is over...go cowboys!

Dang it. Jake Delhomme is out for the year and Steve Smith has been sucking without him.

I can see why he would go third round, his motion would bother me. If he is in a system where it's a lot of timing, he looks pretty good.

All you have to do is pressure him, you don't even have to touch him.. just crowd close to him, and his passes will come out pretty ugly

Accuracy would look to be his strength, arm strength is what I would question. He seems pretty poised for a rook.
