I'm glad you put this thread in, Doc. I fell asleep on the couch and forgot that we even had a game. What's with baseball in March, anyway? It's throwing off my circadian rhythms.
Interesting choice for Rubes over Tex in the lineup.. but.. maybe Buck doesn't want Tex getting too big for his britches. Who knows.

Rangers win 6-3

Negatives:
Where was Tex?
Otherwise...nothing to complain about. Great win for the Rangers.

i think that maybe the reason tex didn't play was to perhaps because of too much opening day jitters..
Solid all around job by the team.
Valdes fought through a blister to turn in a good enough outing.. the bullpen was awesome. I know that some were worried about Cordero because of a bad spring but DAMN, he brought the heat when it counted and showed some excellent off speed stuff.

Which is why we got him for a paltry 2 million.
Don't get me wrong Chiwas...I like Valdez, but he is no Cy Young.
The Rangers relievers were awesome. Cordero was filthy.

He isn't, but hopefully this year can get near 15 wins and fewer loses.

After reading this thread I have came to the conclusion that:
1)DRBIO likes to talk to himself in a thread.
2)he has no life
hehe just kidding bro....very well done. *gives DRBIO a nice shiny star sticker*

3) Drbio loves the Rangers.
Chiwas- I think you can put money on Ismael winning 15 games. That is a safe bet. The man can pitch and if he gets any kind of run support at all he will be fine.

Don't get too overjoyed about the rangers chances. Chan Ho has the mound tonight, with his personal catcher Chad Krueter.

See thats what you need to know. I don't care if the Rangers win, I care to listen and watch baseball again. On the way home last night, got to listen to the LA/Arizona game. Wasn't even the Rangers playing and I almost had a wreck because I was getting into it.
Oh yea. Forgot how much I missed Baseball.
Bring on the Rangers, because I am ready for some baseball. Woo hoo
