On some dark knight message boards, there's already a theory going around that he faked his death as a marketing ploy for the movie.

Posted on February 6th, 2008 in Entertainment by lalate Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, the New York City medical examiner said moments ago. “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine… We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications.” Toxicology reports show Ledger’s death resulted from acute intoxication from combining oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine. Wow.
Those people in the media trying to paint him as a junkie must be pretty embarrassed right now..... Then again, do you really think you can just take that many drugs and mix them up inside your body and not have any consequences?

He was probably taking one pill to relief the side effects of the other pill, etc. etc....prescription drugs these days have ridiculous side-effects.
