Much better series than the NBA finals. The Wings were the better team but the Canes were competitive and the games were almost all pretty close. Lidstrom winning the Smythe trophy was a good selection IMO. He played some great playoffs (others were deserving too, but Lidstrom was a good pick).

How about Larionov? How old is that guy now? 40? 41? Hell he played with Krutov and Makarov for the USSR in the early 80´s. He had some amazing games in this years playoffs (especially in the finals).

Larionov won 4 face offs and had an assist tonight I think. Not too bad for an old guy.

In game 3 he had 2 goals (including the game winner in ot). In game four he scored the 2-0.
