Default Democrats can't dish it out but they sure can't take it.

So for about a zillion years the media has been friendly to the left. But now the "eeeevvvvvviiiiillllll" Fox news rears up and the democrats go scurrying for cover.

So much substance, so much political courage. It's just chokes you up doesn't it?

Quote:
CBS/AP) Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards won't participate in a debate co-hosted by Fox News and the Nevada Democratic Party, his campaign said, as party officials tried to settle a dustup over their partnership with the cable network.

Edwards' campaign said the involvement of Fox News, which is often accused by liberals of having a conservative bias, was part of the decision to pass on the Aug. 14 debate in Reno.
..... this one was funny..

Quote:
The Breck Girl has given in to the whiners in the moonbatosphere who complained like spoiled brats about Fox News (”Faux News” as the koskids from the short bus call the leading cable news network) daring to host a democratic presidential debate without their permission:

"take" what exactly? having slurs directed at you?

imho, edwards should be in all debates held, after all he's a candidate and needs to be involved.

otoh, when there are already 2 other debates scheduled why have a 3rd?

my guess is that edwards saw coulter on with hannity when hannity defended her very poor choice (how about assinine?) of words coulter used to characterize edwards.

if an organization such as fox news was giddy to call me a "faggot" I'm not sure I'd want to be included in anything they did. would you?

didn't think so...

You mean like dubya being on a network like cnn with that wacko oberman??.

Come on mavie, are you saying a guy running for the presidency can shy away from a major media outlet? If it were a fox roast or something other than a democrat debate..maybe..but this is pretty limp-wristed if you ask me. Surely thin-skinned for sure.

thin skinned yes.

fox news (imho) abuses its position. the hannity defense of coulter is just a recent example, the headline of proclaiming scooter libby "found not-guilty" is another. yes, libby did get a not-guilty on one of five charges, but to ignore the four guilty verdicts just shows they are anything but "fair and balanced".

We aren't talking about his particular program we are talking about the entire network. If MSNBC hosted a republican debate and republicans wouldn't show up because of oberman..i'd make the same case.

Understood, don't agree with you. Hannity is a columist, like larry king, oberman, whomever. He's not the network. The network is easily as fair and balanced as anything comeing out of abc, cbs, etc.
Not to mention the NYTimes for goodness sakes.

Aren't presidential debates often moderated by people from PBS? That network easily leans as far as Fox.

Not according to liberals. If it's government financed (I know pbs has become more self-financed) then they believe it, until they don't, then they are bushitler, nazi's etc.

Funny how only conservative government is evil??? wonder why?

Excellent, the more the democrats embrace the lunatics at moveon.com the better off the nations will be.

http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_ho.../13078877.html
Quote:
Network co-sponsors state Democratic debate -- oh my!

Hard-core liberals can't stand the Fox News Channel. Passing a television that's tuned to the conservative favorite forces many of them to close their eyes, cover their ears and scream, "La la la la la la la la la!" Then they dash to their computers and fire off 2,500 e-mails condemning the outlet, none of which are ever read.

But liberals' aversion to Fox News has finally gone over the top. The Nevada Democratic Party had agreed to let the right-tilting network co-sponsor, of all things, an August debate in Reno between Democratic presidential candidates. Party officials were serious about drawing national attention to the state's January presidential caucus, the country's second in the 2008 nominating process. What better way for the party to reach conservative and "values" voters who might consider changing allegiances?

But the socialist, Web-addicted wing of the Democratic Party was apoplectic. The prospect of having to watch Fox News to see their own candidates would have been torture in itself. So they set the blogosphere aflame with efforts to kill the broadcast arrangement, or at least have all the candidates pull out of the event. Before Friday, the opportunistic John Edwards was the only candidate to jump on that bandwagon.

You'd think the deal called for having Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter mock the candidates between comments. No, even unfiltered, unedited, live debate between loyal Democrats couldn't be entrusted to Fox News.

The approach of outfits such as MoveOn.org is so juvenile it's laughable. Imagine if every political organization created litmus tests for news organizations before agreeing to appear on their programming. Republicans would have boycotted PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, National Public Radio and The Associated Press decades ago.

This hyperventilation results from the fact that far-left Democrats have no comparable media outlet, nor any widespread national appeal, for their radical views in favor of heavy-handed regulation, wealth redistribution, diplomatic capitulation and economic protectionism. So they attack their rivals' messenger with a reckless barrage of rhetoric that cuts down their own allies with friendly fire.

By Friday, the Nevada Democratic Party caved in to the lunatic fringe and beganseeking a more "appropriate" television partner.

Comedy Central, perhaps?
