Dirk, Player of the Week!
Hey guys, here is the artical:
NEW YORK, Dec. 26 –The Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas and the Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, November 29 through Sunday, December 5.
Arenas
Nowitzki
Arenas led the Wizards to a perfect 3-0 week, averaging 25.7 points (first in the Eastern Conference) on .449 shooting and .571 three-point shooting, while recording 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game in wins over New Jersey, Atlanta and Chicago. Arenas posted a season-high 34 points in a 95-88 win over Chicago on Saturday.
Nowitzki led the Mavericks to a 2-1 week, averaging a league-high 34.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.67 blocks in wins over Houston and Utah, and a loss to San Antonio. Nowitzki scored 53 points in the Mavericks’ win overtime over Houston, marking a franchise record, an American Airlines Center record, a career-high and an NBA season-high.

Two great articles about Dirk today. One is for being the Scoring Leader and the other one is Player of the Week! LOL
Man that Scoring Leader article is great. While I agree that we don't want Dirk to be the scoring leader just for the stats, Dirk's scoring is DIRECTLY related to Mavs' record, which is REALLY amazing if you ask me. So Dirk should score more!!!
The good thing about Dirk's scoring is that his shooting % is very high for a shooter. He averages about 46.5% so his high scoring is actually a good thing for the team! Unlike Stackhouse's 36%... no offense. LOL
So Dirk should keep scoring if he can because his % is definitely one of the highest for a shooter!!! And now that when Dirk is not shooting well, he makes sure he gets to the line. What's not great about this offense-machine?

Just look at the section NBA daily at NBA.com and click on Mondays headlines. To read the article you´ll now have to register at star-telegram.com, which had not to be done before.

Heh. Not exactly the best defenses around.
