OKC panned out to be our most likely matchup several days ago, so Rick planned accordingly...
Bring on the Thunder.

Azubuike had his moments... 7 points in 8 minutes.
(yeah, it was that kind of game...)

How did Azubuike look?...does he look like he could help in the playoffs like Corey Brewer did?

That Dirk fall had me reaching for a LifeAlert.
I would have liked to seen a little more effort though.

Dallas' lone win in the regular season over OKC was relatively convincing, while the 3 wins for OKC saw an average MOV stand at 5.

Nice, no idiotic b2bs and some pretty good rest/practice time. Need to steal one in okc and then 3 more days rest to get two at home.

Great...even more important games being reduced in value to their customers.

I'm getting really tired of reading you shitting on your season-ticket position time and time again. Have you not received value, over the time you have held your tickets?

OKC should win, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we woke up and showed up to play. If so, the series could get interesting.

Mavs have basically no chance of winning this series. I hope they can make it interesting at least. I wanted the Lakers.

Why do people say "no chance" in sports? Like, ever? I feel like people don't understand that you can just say, "Low chance," "10% chance," or whatever. This will get your point across without boxing you in to some absolutist claim. Plus, it's just more accurate.
Semantics, I know, but it bugs the hell out of me. Some people just have to make everything so black and white. Become comfortable with shades of gray, I say.
(For the record, I think the Mavs have more than a "low chance" of winning the series. I just want to bitch about the terminology.)

Which they could have solved that problem by making it a best of 5 in round 1, or making it only about 50 games in the regular season.

Or just by not scheduling them.

With the 18th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks select...
(I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs traded up, as they did to get Washington's pick to draft Devin)

Do we? I checked nbadraft.net's mock draft and it had us slotted at 18 as does draftexpress ( http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2012/)

There's a 3 way tie for 16. by my count. Utah-NYK and us. I know there's big talk around GSW that they're flipping Tor for the 7th slot, GSW keeps the pick if it's 7 or higher at 11am Pacific this morning. I wonder if there's goign to be a 3 way flip for 16.

so thanks to STern's TV contract, we get 2 days off to travel....until Game 7, we get only 1 day to travel. I know the sked is drawn by TV skeds only, why give rest only for the most important game of the series.....ridiculous. I never remember the playoffs since 1990 of any back to backs at all....then again i don't remember TV paying the league billions to televise it's game.

Mavs win in 5. That's all folks.
......Yes, I realize that means two wins in OKC.

Looks like we're going 17th per a twitter. NBA flipped the coin in a three way tie with Utah-NYK and Dallas. Dallas beat Utah (Minny owns pick). Utah 18th, NYK beats Dallas, NYK 16th, Dallas 17th.
