Who do you think has the best recruit
Duke landing Humphries and Deng is pretty good, but i cant see in other dominant teams. I heard Texas is having a pretty good junoir recruiting class. They also got my boy Austin Jackson who is only a sophmore but is was one of Teaxas's 4A leading scorers.

Humpries got out of Duke's committment and the latest I heard he was either going to Minn. or IU next year.
Yeah, I heard a report that UT is having a fanastic class for next year. Although a couple of those guys could decide for the pros, so you will have to wait.

Even if most of those guys go to the NBA, Austin would lead them to tourney champs.

Yeah they usually come up with the most NBA talent besides Florida, the state, not the school.

Who do you think has the best recruit
Here are the 5 juniors commiting to Texas with comments from the guy that wrote the article at CBS Sportsline:
Barnes has taken advantage of almost none of that. Instead of basking in the glow of a glorious season, he has spent the past seven weeks working as hard as he did when he first took over in Austin and a season like last year's seemed like a pipe dream.
Want proof? Check this out:
Daniel Gibson, 6-3, Houston Jones
LeMarcus Aldridge, 6-11, Dallas Seagoville
Dion Dowell, 6-7, Texas City (Texas)
Conner Atchley, 6-10, Clear Lake (Texas)
Mike Williams, 6-8, Camden (Ala.) Wilcox Central
All five players are high school juniors. All five have verbally committed to Texas. Together they make up one of the most impressive groups of early commitments ever. It is simply unheard of to have a five-man group this good committed this early.
Gibson, Aldridge and Williams are all top 15 national players according, to the Hoop Scoop. Dowell is a top 50 talent, and Atchley is a fast rising big man with a ton of potential.
Barnes and his staff are now in position to spend much of the upcoming summer recruiting period scouting and recruiting sophomores and freshmen. If you happen to be a top sophomore such as Austin Jackson of Denton or Byron Eaton of Dallas or maybe Monta Ellis of Mississippi, you are likely to see a lot of Barnes this summer.
All of which means one thing. Did you see the Longhorns in the Final Four last month? Get used to it.

RE: Who do you think has the best recruit
i've heard much of the same as OP... UT's recruiting class is supposed to be at a level that is virutally untouchable by any other team in the country..and none of them have even started their senior year.
hopefully they'll all end up wearing the burnt orange of UT

austin jackson will never play a game of basketball in college if he is smart. He will probably a top 5 pick in the MLB draft after his sr. year and will get the big money. He's a can't miss prospect.

Very interesting comment, Crippler. Austin just made the 4A Baseball All Tournament team...and, yes, he's an all around athlete and may opt for baseball...BUT
Watch out for Austin Knight of Ryan. He was a freshman last year at Denton Ryan and played varsity in basketball and track. He was the JV quarterback...and will be taking over the varsity this year from James battle, who's off to TCU on scholarship. Knight is said to be even better.
Then there's this incoming freshman that they call "the sock".
