Re: The Man the Democrats Should Have Nominated

The boring Obama camp should have grabbed the electrifying, interesting, appealing Dennis Kucinich for VP. This is a guy who, in spite of his leftist, New Dealer bent, and his horrifying plans for the economy (I write about that here), I'd like to see in the White House. Problem is, he would outshine Barack Obama and his dull wife in every way, and he would draw attention away from the man who wants to be sole King in the spotlight. His domestic agenda is disastrous, but not much worse than the capers of Obama or Bush. His foreign policy views are certainly exceptional, but mostly, he understands the totalitarian nature of the modern Security State, and he's all for abolishing every last piece of it, as is Ron Paul. Surely, his magnificent stage presence and "lunatic fringe" views would have upstaged the dull and featureless Obama. Therefore, in the end, the plastic-faced, lifeless, unappealing Joe Biden fits nicely into the "be seen but not heard" reserve role, standing behind a man who doesn't want his spotlight snatched away by an old-fashioned orator whose unsettling deliverance could prove to be fatal to Obama's master plan for acquiescence to the status quo.
That's a pretty solid take on him, I think.

I laughed all the way through his speech. He's nothing more than a cheerleader with no clue about what's going on in America and the world.

He needs to wake up!!!

All he did was WHINE WHINE WHINE...there was no substance in his words other than more crying.

I know some folks believe in the Democrats message and that is their choice.

I for one, completely disagree with the Democrats and believe that they are 100% wrong in where they want to lead this nation.

In fairness, I believe we should SHUT DOWN both the Democrat and Republican party system. No not an independant...simply NO PARTY affiliation whatsoever for any candidate.

Too often these politicians are running on Party lines and they show no backbone in standing up for their own personal beliefs.

They also trade favors for votes, essentially playing games with the very lives that they represent.

I believe it was George Washington himself who stated that a 2 party system would be the destruction of Democracy.

I'm as guilty as all of us...I vote Republican because their platform is closer to my individual beliefs than the Democrats. However, honestly, I don't know where any of the candidates stand on the issues on a personal level.

Heck I don't even know who or what is running in my local elections.

Shame on me...but most of all shame on a 2 party system.

It's convenient and easy to vote either Democrat or Republican...take these labels away from the candidates and I as a voter would have to examine the candidates more closely in order to make an educated vote.

Again I am voting Republican, because they have a platform that supports my beliefs. Others will vote Democrat because that is what they believe.

Either way, we are screwed...there is no progress, no change...just more games to keep either Democrat or Republicans in power. At the end of the day, we the people lose!!!

Honestly, if we were to let all the candidates who ran in the primaries all run against each other in the National election, do we believe that Obama and McCain would actually finish #1 and #2?

I'm willing to bet that neither of these guys would finish in the Top 5!!!

So are we really getting to vote for who we want or simply who the Party has put out there...who happened to play a better game of spending money and campaigning.

More often than not...the first idea or first choice is NOT the best...I am willing to bet that there are a few candidates better than what is being provided today and it tears me up to see where we are headed.

It's funny when I was younger, I didn't care...like I said, I was fairly liberal...as I get older I care much much more and I lean conservative. I see the effects that the political game has on our society, our future societies and from this voter, I don't like where we are headed, especially as I see more and more liberals gaining power.

The fall of the Modern day Rome is around the corner.

I thought this was the best part, but I think I like watching train wrecks.

Over the sea of murmurs, you can hear a lady exclaim "Oh my God..."
