We can always attempt to recreate the Spurs
I thought I would create a new thread, about the distinct possibility of attempting to re-create 2/3 of the Spurs big 3. In this draft we have the Next Manu Ginobli in Rudy Fernandez [first round] and the Next Bruce Bowen [second round] in Bobby Jones.

I think this year's playoffs will demonstrate that we have already surpassed the Spurs' model.

JHO gives us many of the things the bowens, princes and marion's of the world give those teams.
I am more worried about the Suns. |

I don't think we need the Fernandez kid...but a Randy Foye & Bobby Jones would be fantastic. I could also go for a Marcus Slaughter & Rashad Anderson combo.
Taj Gray would be another that I would like. We don't need another project Center..hopefully we can keep M'Benga and we still have Pavel. So our perimeter D needs some more help at the 2-3 spots. Foye would be a great Vinnie Johnson type to play 1-2. Last edited by MikeB; 04-15-2006 at 03:45 PM. |

I think we dont need centers anymore. We have Diop who is young and will improve. Mbenga has shown signs and will probably be better than Diop or Damp. So just try to keep Mbenga and when Damp's contract runs out give some more money to Mbrnga to keep him even longer. So our future centers imo are Diop and Mbenga.
My point is just go for some more fire power.

The most interesting thing is trades? Will Danny Ainge trade Paul Pierce or are the Celtics going to trade for reinforcements. Will KG ever make a trade or are the wolves going to trade for Stephon or Francis?
