Brooks needs to make an adjustment in the starting lineup. Perkins and Ibaka on the court at the same time won't work with the Heat not playing a true center. IMO, Brooks should start Fisher and move Ibaka to Bosh putting Perkins on the bench. Seflosha becomes the primary defender on LeChoke and Westbrook will have to harass Wade. I would also try Collison and Perkins on LBJ for short stretches just to give him a bit of a more physical defender. Durant can guard Battier and therefore stay out of foul trouble. With Perkins coming off the bench Ibaka, Durant, and Westbrook are gonna have to rebound as if their lives depend on it but I think that is a better alternative to KD having to defend LeBron for long stretches.
Alternatively, the Thunder need to start making their free throws and hope the Heat go back to their more mediocre percentages at the line. But, I wouldn't count on this happening. When you're hot, you're hot and the Heat is on right now.

Funny reading all these bits about Lebron being unguardable from Brooks. "Can't guard him one on one." Makes what Marion did much more impressive.

Its strange that everyone but Scott Brooks can see that they need to go small
and play Perkins less. Durant needs to drive and kick occasionally. Heat defenders are collapsing on him, he needs to find an open man. Thats one reason why having guys with better hands that move w/out the ball like Collison is preferable to Perkins. Also maybe a few minutes of Daquan Cook? to space the floor.

Where was this Harden about a month ago?
If Durant can't score, he has no effect on the game.

Chalmers showing up in the biggest game of the year, as anticipated.

I used to not think much of westbrook, but man, that guy has gained my respect during these playoffs. His will to win is pretty astounding.

Chalmers has big balls. He should be a much better player than he is. He should play every game like it is a championship game.
Harden fears his own beard right about now.

I guess it's ball game, and most likely series. I don't think Thunder will come back and win 3 straight.

The very best part of that game was the shot of the many, many Heat fans exiting the arena with time left in the game. Cause, you know, winning an NBA Finals game isn't something worth sticking around until the end for.
Worst fanbase of a good team in the NBA. Bar none.

I hate that the Heat will be winning a ring, but at least it's against the not-Mavs.

I don't even know what to say.
I have resigned, Miami is winning a ring, if not at home then in OKC.

I agree with you on this one. Though I did enjoy seeing Wade in pain. It was worth it.

OKC was far and away the best team in the west. But they're definitely inferior to the Heat. I thought there would be a coaching advantage for them too, but nope. Oh well, next year the Heat will be 'the team to beat' - which means every team will make them play a lot harder.

If OKC doesn't have the refs calling the game one way for them, they are extremely weak. Harden gets most of his points on barreling to the rim and just flopping around. Amazing how mortal he looks when the refs don't call his BS and actually try and make shots. And Durant is pretty mortal when the refs actually treat him the way Dirk has been treated for his entire career.

If Stern is going to crack down on flopping, then he sure as hell better fix the horribly inconsistent reffing that seems to get worse every year.

I would have liked to have seen them attempt to win it against the Mavs.

Yup. At least Ibaka got his money's worth on that foul. That being said no one can ever be sure whether Wade is actually hurt or putting on a show for the cameras.
Outside of a random shot here and there, Wade has been pretty bad this series IMO. His shot selection and ball security have been abysmal. Most of the time when the Heat have a bad possession it's because Wade dribbles too much, tries to drive, then dishes at the last second to a teammate that has no idea what he's doing.

If the Heat do win a championship - I hope they have to do it on the road in OKC.
Then they could have the "after party" at places like Applebee's and Chili's etc.
and not like the Mavs who got to party in South Beach last year.

Yeah, that would've been nice. Too bad it almost surely would not have happened even with the exact same Mavs roster.
I guess maybe my "Heat in 6 prediction" was too conservative. Heat in 5?

I dont even know how you believed in Chalmers. His numbers were decent but last night was unreal.
Did you want to Heat to win?

I'd prefer the Thunder win. There's not much to like about the Heat. I'm a big KD fan, though, and I don't have a problem with most of the Thunder guys.
I just thought the Heat were better. More experienced, better coached, equally good stars, and I think their roleplayers have been a bit underrated relative to the Thunder's. People also started to sleep on the Heat a bit because they had a lot of trouble with Bosh out, but they've been incredibly good all year when healthy. They're better than last year's Heat team, just due to experience.

It all comes down to late game execution. OKC has been bumbling around in creative ways they did not seem capable of in the first three rounds.
