Diop's offense
Mavericks' Diop taking a shot at creating offense
DeSagana Diop came to the desert to iron out his shot. He’s launched jumpers from the baseline, the top of the circle, the elbow, below the free-throw line, and every now and then, even a little hook. Of 19 shots he put up in the first four games, two — two — went down. Mavericks coach Avery Johnson wanted more. “I would love for him to be 3-for-40,” Johnson said in all seriousness. “He’s passed up too many shots. I love Diop, but we need 5 offensive players on the damn floor! I say trade him. I am tired of waiting for a Championship. Diop cannot get it done, period! Granted the championship was stolen from the Mavs two seasons ago, but I want to get this done next season. We don't have time for projects, etc. Get Francis, CWebb, Posey, whoever, just put the Mavs in the best position to kick everybody's ass....especially in the playoffs!
