Default UT - Kansas Big 12 Championship

I've got a question regarding the title game yesterday.

In the 2nd half Kansas was up 63 - 60 when a Kansas player drove and made a shot, but was called for charging on the play. The score then ready 65-60. Why did they get to keep the 2 points when they committed an offensive foul?

Did I get this right or did I miss a score in my excitement of watching the game?

If I'm right and they should not have counted the basket, then the Longhorns won the title in regulation...is there anything that anyone can do to protest the result...or did Rick Barnes miss his opportunity at the time the bucket was counted?

There used to be a rule in college basketball that said if the offensive player releases the ball before he commits the offensive foul then the basket counts.

I've always thought it was a stupid rule and I thought it had been overturned, but apparently not.

Thank you for clearing that up...that is the most insane rule I have heard of and I'm surprised that nobody pointed that out as a crucial point in the ball game. It appears that, this rule is what ultimately decided the championship.

Even Jason Terry has stated that Kansas is a team that cheats.
