RE:Game Day Thread- Mavs Vs Jazz
well, delk's on fire now
that'll happen..he can score
but, i'm still not a big fan of the small lineup.....of course, when everyone is virtually on fire, it doesn't matter

I want to apologize for even questioning why Delk is starting lol. Why is he a journeyman?

Dirk is fine at center when our perimeter defense is on. But when it isn't you get a result of Dirk having 4 fouls in the 3rd quarter and you start to make Dirk hesitant on both sides of the ball. If they want to play Delk, Nash, Fin, Dirk and Walker at the same time they need to find a way to have Dirk play the 5 on offense and the 4 on D.

It's nice to see the Mavs shooting the ball well. I wish I could be watching the game. The last two games haven't been the most impressive showings.

Is it really safe to play Bradley when Kirlenko is the tallest person on the Jazz team right now?

Word. I don't get to see another one for like another 2 weeks. I feel a lot better that they seem to be coming around. I didn't doubt that it would happen, but better sooner than later.

RE:Game Day Thread- Mavs Vs Jazz
the mavs have enough shooters that they're gonna look great when they're on
what's good to see is the mavs attacking the basket..the jumpers will be there more often than not..and when they're on, the mavs will be unbeatable. but when they're not, you have to be able to get some looks on the inside

RE:Game Day Thread- Mavs Vs Jazz
No one jump on me for this statement but so far this season who is looking like our franchise player? I mean its clear who our best player is (Dirk) but has Walker been the best Mav this season when it comes down to leadership and play?

RE:Game Day Thread- Mavs Vs Jazz
delk is awesome at times...but trust me, he's a streaky shooter much like NVE. you'll love him for a couple of games and then he'll be off for 2 weeks.
what makes delk a good player is his ability to play defense and get to the rim offensively...plus, he can run some point

RE:Game Day Thread- Mavs Vs Jazz
who's been the better player?
well..dirk's had a great game, a good game and a mediocre game
walker's had three good games
leadership..well, it's really, really difficult to tell who's been the biggest leader on the team and who hasn't... you really have to be in the locker room and on the court to know those kind of things
just because we see someone talking doesn't mean that that person is viewed as a leader.
however, after saying that, it does appear that walker is developing into a leader on this team...which should go along nicely with the three leaders that mavs already have.
