This thread is gold

Also everyone needs to watch Leonard destroy the Rockets. Down 1. Hits a ballsy three and comes back to block Harden's weak layup

Loved watching Mike, Dan & Tony spaz out at the end... F the Rockets.

J. Anderson led the Sixers with 19 pts, 3 asts, 6 rebounds. 0-6 on threes though.

Owed 13, 14, then 15 million the next three season after this one. No thanks.

He's got a Dwight Powell contract-- way above what he's worth, except Knight may actually be a borderline NBA talent.

On NBA the Jump today there was a quick stat that was pretty eye catching. With RWB on the floor the Thunder score 133 points per 100 possessions. When he's off the floor they score 74 per 100.... Not really a RWB fan and I do think he stat hunts but good lord that's ridiculous how bad that team is offensively.

He's averaged 45 PPG over their 4-game losing streak... That pretty much tells the story of their offense.

I realize on the surface RWB looks like an all-time chucker/ballhog, but the more Thunder games I watch, the more I realize that is literally the only way they can win. I used to really hate Allen Iverson, but now when I look back I understand that the Sixers' best offense was Iverson taking 25 FGA on 43% shooting. Their best offensive play was an Iverson ISO and their second best was an offensive rebound off of his miss.

Russ is just a supercharged Iverson who can rebound.

Edit: And not that this is one of those things, but I've never bought the "he puts up empty stats on a bad team" or "he is inefficient and therefore not good" thing.

Eh, I think their front office has slowly but surely made some poor decisions recently. I mean, can you believe they had WB, Durant, Harden, and Ibaka on the same team? Now it's Sabonis, Kanter, Alex Abrines?, Jerami Grant....

Oladipo and Adams are the only two players that are worth mentioning as quality IMO. And they aren't that great.

And I'm not sure the Iverson comparison works because they literally HAD to put complimentary players around him for that to work. It was Iverson's ego and then the riff raff had to follow.

I don't think the wheels are falling off, but it's interesting to see Steve Kerr actually having to coach now. And their bench is utter garbage.

The one player that desperately needs to step up is Klay Thompson. He was decent this game against the Celtics, but he has been borderline terrible the last 5 or so games.

I think championship teams hit lulls though like the Cavs. They'll turn it on come playoff time.

It's that point in the season where teams locked into the playoffs start to coast a bit...

I will say that IF Durant isn't healthy for the 1st round, then the Mavs could at least make it fun and interesting. The key matchup we could win is the center position where Noel would have to play out of his mind.

And Curry vs Curry would be a blast.

The playoffs look more appealing today than they did a month ago...so there is that.

If you think that about the Warriors, you must think the same about the Cavs, times two. Nurkic, what a ridiculous game... Hopefully Noel will battle it out with Nurk and Jokic for the next decade, as the best centers in the west (Cousins is still there for half of that though).

Yeah the Mavs may have gotten a huge steal with the Noel trade but man.... The whole world thought Portlad won that trade easily but now it's almost ridiculous. Nurk is absolutely killing it and if they beat out the Mavs and Nuggets for the 8th seed it will be because of Nurkic. The simple fact they also got a 1st for it is mind blowing.

That was an absolute beast of a stat line for Nurkic, but remember who they were playing. Sixers forced to play sorry ass Okafur at center with Embiid out.

Poor Anderson 0-1 and 2 turnovers.

Yeah, Okafor is Kanter-bad on defense. They are even in the last three in DRPM among centers if I'm not mistaken. Still, Nurk played really well since the trade, though definitely not this well. This was a ridiculous statline, as you said. I forgot Towns, he is an amazing offensive player already, but on defense, he is definitely bad.

Now that I think abouit, he was the second from the bottom a couple of weeks ago when I checked the DRPM, sandwiched between Kanter (dead last) and Okafor! That's not a company you want to be in when it comes to defense. Jokic surprisingly ranges from average to above average on D, while Nurkic and Noel are elite, or at least they have the ability to be. All in all, going forward the center position looks fantastic at the moment.

The Nuggets were in a bad position because Nurk is a little bit of a "vibe" guy. Once they demoted him to the bench, he didn't put in real effort. But now that he is loved and they trust him, he looks like a star. He has to find that hunger inside of him, and not literally, because he had weight problems.

If he really goes all out in terms of his summer conditioning and training, oh boy, the league could be in trouble, because he would be an absolute two-way beast. He is not a big leaper, but otherwise a special athlete, laterally quick, strong as an oak, extremely long, and has huge, soft hands.

They were in a tough spot with him yeah but not for one second did I think plumlee was better than Nurkic. So attaching a 1st rounder to him was just insane. Now it looks even worse which I rly didn't think was possible.

Yeah, same here, the 1st was overpay, especially since Plumlee was a freakin' expiring contract whom you either lose, or you have to pay big bucks to keep him.

James Frauden now has more career turnover's than Cp3. In 200 less games and 9000 less minutes played.

He's leading the NBA atm in TO's as well. We are just a few weeks away from the coveted back to back to back TO title for the first time in NBA history.

7.5 games behind Memphis, who is dropping like a stone (4 straight losses, 3-7 in their last 10)... All we can do is keep on winning, maybe we'll get lucky.

He's leading the NBA atm in TO's as well. We are just a few weeks away from the coveted back to back to back TO title for the first time in NBA history.
His TOV% is better than both of Nash's MVP season averages if I'm not mistaken. Looking at sheer turnover numbers is incredibly simplistic when he eats up so many possessions. Somebody has to make those TOs on a statistical basis, and since the ball is pretty much always in Harden's hands, he is going to be the one.

When a player beats a 50yr old playoff record for TO's or whatever, and beats the regular season TO record, and leads the league 3 years in a row... no advanced stats can sugar coat that. RWB has the highest usage rate in NBA history and should be leading the NBA in turnovers this year. But harden just refused to let him.

Neither Harden or Westbrook are in the top 30 in turnover rate this season.

How many of those names actually played a significant amount of this season? Like 50 games? How many of them actually play minutes? Like at least 20mins? How many actually handle the ball offensively? Because just throwing a bunch of guys who have a higher TO rate is meaningless to me. Congrats James Harden, You have a better TO rate than Andrew Bogut and Salah Mejri. I guess we shouldn't let Andrew Bogut and Salah Mejri set up our offense.

Westbrook would destroy the old record too. Btw, it's funny that you ignore the fact that Nash during his MVP season had a higher TOV%. That's barely an advanced stat, man, it tells you how big of a chance you have at turning the ball over, when it's in your hand. And Nash did worse at that than Harden does right now. I get it, you don't like Harden.

I didn't ignore Nash's TOv% that you pointed out. Where did I say Harden had the highest TOV% in history? I said he was breaking TO records. I said nobody has led the league 3 years in a row and he's on the verge. I said idc about Nash's TOV% because at the end of the day Nash didn't break those records, and yes Nash also wasn't an insufferable eye sore like Harden. But sure, keep bringing up TOV% and changing the point of my original post which was just to inform everyone that Harden is a POS and that he is breaking TO records and doing something in a negative light that has never been done in the 70 year history of the NBA. But yeah others have has worse TOV%'s.

Parsons has a partial tear of the meniscus in his left knee per MacMahon. Really have no clue how he doesn't consider retirement this summer.

You can tell Ibaka and Lopez don't box often.
