Default Would you do this Chicago trade?

Dallas trades: PG Tony Delk (6.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 16.3 minutes)
PF Danny Fortson (3.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 11.8 minutes)
PF Antoine Walker (16.2 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 38.1 minutes)
Dallas receives: SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
PF Tyson Chandler (13.0 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.0 apg in 28.6 minutes)
PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +12.8 ppg, +6.4 rpg, and +1.9 apg.

Chicago trades: SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
PF Tyson Chandler (13.0 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.0 apg in 28.6 minutes)
PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes)
Chicago receives: PG Tony Delk (6.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 29 games)
PF Danny Fortson (3.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 33 games)
PF Antoine Walker (16.2 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 41 games)
Change in team outlook: -12.8 ppg, -6.4 rpg, and -1.9 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Dallas and Chicago being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Dallas and Chicago had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

New Lineup

Davis/Bradley
Dirk/Chandler
Jamison/Chandler
Finley/Howard
Nash/Crawford

I take Curry instead of Chandler just fo rthe fact the Curry is a Center, like the upside on Chandler but he play either Dirk or Jamison spot.

Comments?

yup, I'd do it for either. and I think both are centers in the NBA, chandler just has the luxury playing next to a bigger kid with a better offensive post game. but he'd be playing center on just about any other team, even in SA...or at least he should be.

For the Mavs I like that trade. But the more they win the harder it will be to trade away players that are making a contribution.

Don't see any way that Chicago would do that trade anyhow, though.

That is a no brainer trade for the Mavs. But the Bulls would need no brains to do that trade. I wouldn't hesitate a second to pull this one.

You might want to check out Chandler's back, LRB...he's still hurting and really hasn't played too many games this year...I love him upside...but he's having some very bad back problems...((Curry also seems to be a big problem...looks like he's mailing it in for the rest of the year)

I would take my chances on Chandler's back before weight. He just strikes me as a guy who is going to battle weight problems his whole career.

Chandler's also the better defender, which makes him more attractive to me as a Mavs fan.

I look for at least one of them to be moved by next season. Labron, Carmello, Bosh, and Amare have made it tougher for Chicago fans to accept the "they're young" excuse.

Chandler played the first half dozen games of the season, then missed a week, then came back for a week. Then they shut him down (that was end of Nov) and he isnt expected back til the All-Star break. He says he feels ready to go, but they are being cautious, likely because this season is already in the dumper anyhow.

I would think getting rid of Davis's contract and adding Walker (Chicago's own) with only 1 more year left on contract may be enough for Chicago?

I agree that if they continue to win nothing will happen.
