24 Day 7
So I just finished watching the 2 hours from last night. That was/is awesome. Getting past the fact that it's still hard to believe Tony is still alive, after those 2 hours I'm glad he is. My only complaint is I wish the Jack/Tony fight could have gone on just a bit longer.
I do want Chloe back though. Is that Garofolo playing her part? Please let evil Tony kill her or something.
I can't wait until tonight. It looks like Jack is back and forgotten about the Day 6 debacle. I mean, I don't want to count my chickens yet but what a start.

Yeah, I was pleased. But I think they're kind of taking it slow, which is good. No nuke's going off in the first few hours this time...They really ran into a wall last season...I think they've got a nice long building plot going for this one.
Chloe will be back at some point this season. As will the older gentleman...Bill, I think was his name.
I will be locked in tonight.

The first 2 episodes reminded me of Die Hard 2.

I didn't think last night's episodes were great. I loved these two, though.

The writers of 24 woke up, it seems, from whatever haze they were in for the last two days. Having Jack AND Tony saving the country is twice the fun.

You think we know the whole story on Tony yet? I know they said a lot last night, but I remain skeptical.

actually, if you think about it, all 4 of the "make shift" CTU team are disgruntled. all have been screwed at one time or another. So being skeptical is probably a safe bet.

Ugh... I should have waited until the DVD box set was available... I hate going week-to-week with no way to stay up late to see the end!

Jack grazes a chicks neck with a bullet to make it look like he killed her, and then buries her alive...
Just another day in the life of "Mr Bauer" (chinese accent)

Yea, that sucked. I'd have chosen to just be shot in the head instead of being buried alive.

You know she will make it out alive...heck she is probably Jack's new love interest, blocking out the other FBI dude!!!
As for the slow and steady story build...looks like next week will see our first major death count!!!
Is it me, or is the thought of Chloe and the other geeky girl from the FBI look like a great two characters for a cat fight!!!
What will happen with the President's Husband getting killed...sooner or later these coruption folks will go a little too far...
Fun times are ahead...

That was awesome. I know she got the silent treatment but I don't think she's dead. The only tactical advantage that could bring to the show would be vengeance from the FBI lackey and that would be boring.
I do like how Emerson isn't real sure about trusting Jack.

Good episode last night.
I feel like we're moving along with this plot line a little quickly, however. We need a game changer pretty soon.

Yeah no kidding. What else is in store?
I liked how the First Dude got out of his conundrum, albeit convenient. But that was good times.
Jack back to killing bad guys. Always a good thing.
I hope that soon Audrey comes in and kills Mrs. FBI Agent Bauer wanna-be. And the Chloe wanna-be too. That would be sweet.

Tony saves Jack again. Something is brewing or about to run over with Tony. That might be the "non-obvious" twist this day.

So Debaku(or however you spell it) is going to be focal the rest of this year. And finding the rogue FBI agents. I seriously think it's Mr. Techie idiot. Although I'm hoping it's Ms. Techie idiot.

I'm suspicious of what Tony's doing.
Agree about Mr. Techie...thought he may be just looking sinister to throw us off.
I hope that the FBI guy who likes Renee dies. Can't stand him.
I think that Dubaku's boss, general Juma will come into play more later in the season. The actor playing him was killed from Chuck so that he could work on 24 I think.
Also, we were introduced to John Voight's character in the thanksgiving movie. I assume he's going to be huge at some point, and is the chief traitor in the government, right?
This show is rocking this season. I love when Jack hijacks random peoples' cars Nice Caddy.

Yea, at some point this season, I have suspected pretty much everyone except Jack, Bill and Chloe.

Yea, but I sort of hope he doesn't turn into that Mummy-dude from a few seasons ago... I hated watching that guy slip through every crack imaginable.

gagree. I just have a feeling he might be one of the bad guys.... like he will end up being Renee's Nina. But he's too gay and weak to be a Nina so forget I said that.

say wha? He actually died on Chuck? When? I thought he was just never brought up anymore to save money. Unless this happened last night, in which case I hate you since I haven't seen it

I don't recall any of that. But I have no desire to rewatch that "movie".

I absolutely agree about this season. It's certainly nice to get a reprieve from the Day 6 debacle. I bet they wish they could have a do-over.

It was some throwaway scene in Chuck...
"Agent Graham was killed during the events of "Chuck Versus The First Date" when the replacement Intersect exploded due to Fulcrum sabotage" link
Yeah..then...I think that was the first episode of the second season. In september.
edit: He was in Redemption as well. "General Juma"
edit edit: He was also Worfs brother on Star Trek (too much?)

In response to your edit edit above..... that is true. So I already can't hate him. (his ST name is Kurn by the way)

In agreement...so far this season has rekindled the high expectations...I thought that I'ld fall off after the last season, losing interest and all...but this year is pretty cool.
And ya...I actually couldn't watch the finger cutting portion...

I like this season well enough, but all of the FBI characters are terribly acted in my opinion with the possible exception of the semi-hot chick that almost died.

I watched it once, and I seriously don't remember the character you're talking about.
Go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_Redemption
And tell me the character or actor you're thinking about.
btw...Agent Pierce came back last night! kick ass. Seriously...where is Tony?

Did they really just re-use the whole "I put an important device under my skin so that it can be found after I die" bit?

I liked how they kind of wrapped some stuff up this last hour, and transitioned to new stuff as the sun went down and Tony came back. Now Jack's going to be doing something else kind of shady and off the government radar. I suspect that Agent Walker will be out of view for a little while, and General Juma will be coming into focus now.
Good stuff.

Yeah, I am loving this season. They have really gone back to the roots of what made this show great. Little things here and there that are intense and makes you mad at the same time. Then bam, Jack gets out of it and back on track.

So much of this show is "the same old thing" as far as 24 goes...and yet, I can't put my finger on why this season is so much better than the last one. It just is. It's regular 24 ridiculous....last season was way too ridiculous even for this show. (How is that possible? I don't know)
Anyway, I agree. This season has been highly entertaining thus far. They still have plenty of fertile ground.
Oh and set your DVR's for 2 hours next week. They're taking us to the halfway mark with a 2 hour installment.

This has been a ridiculous season..again. So many of the FBI characters have been horribly acted (basically all of the FBI characters have been horrificly acted)... The US government is absolutely stupid to doubt Jack at this point..
Despite all of the rediculousness and stupidity, I love this show. It kicks serious ass.

The saving grace 24 always has.... Jack Bauer.
I seriously want Garafolo to get a bullet in the brain from Chloe.
