In my view, that's one of the most amazing songs ever in history of music. I miss Layne Staley

I had to Google "Culture Club" to find out what it is, before I could be properly insulted.
But now I am.

Way to make a young guy feel like a codger.
I'll be in the break room taking my Geritol and finishing the twiddling of my cane if you need me.

I was a young pup when they were popular... and I know you are in your twenties but surely you were alive when that ungodly song "Karma Chameleon" came out. It's the song that when it starts playing on the radio you run to change the channel or if the controls are not under your control you find the nearest knife to cut your ears off. You know that one surely.

to be fair to flaco, i'm sure he knows who Boy George is. He just may not have known his band/group. and even if you hate "Karma Chameleon" you have to recognize the greatness of "Do you really want to hurt me?"
give me tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime... to realize my criiiime...
and to expand on my purchases - Band of Horses new one is great. has a song called "Detlef Schrempf" - how could you not like that? Now, they sound very similar to My Morning Jacket. Mainly because both singers have a similar voice. but My Morning Jacket is more jam-band than Band of Horses. I need to pick up their first one for sure.
as for jack johnson (flac, you've never heard of jack johnson?), the new one is really good, and actually less acoustic stuff. slightly different than his past stuff but still good. he's not an amazing musician or lyricist, but his music is just chill. i could put in one of his CDs and drive around, going nowhere, for hours.

Yeah I get annoyed with Jack Johnson....how many times can you use the same chord progression on one album?
Guilty pleasure here: John Mayer. You may think he's gay, but some of his guitar work on his new album is really cool. His chord voicing's have definitely taught me a thing or two.

dude, john mayer is a great guitarist. i think we may have mentioned him multiple times on this thread, actually. especially when his last one came out. it's a shame his good looks get him lumped into the pop category (although his second cd was definitely pop heavy).

Yeah I was definitely on the "John mayer = gay" train for a long time until just recently.
I still can't get my strat to sound like his....darned rich musicians and their precious equipment....

yeah john mayer is nuts. if you could combine jason mraz' voice with john mayer's guitar ability you would have a super musician.
